Finished. Again.
Well done Daughter Nr. 1 and her friends and on their way back home from Holland, everything's drenched. No stamina the yoof of today.

They were in Renesse, I saw some pics, it looked a bit wet that's for sure.
I didn't want to send them your way, I love my daughter.
I had to Google that place... waaaay down south. She was probably closer to your home than mine.I didn't want to send them your way, I love my daughter.
But I would have looked after her very well despite your misgivings!

Drum brakes!!!
Who the hell has bloody drum brakes in this day and age??
Well irked.
My A35 has drum brakes, they are very good at teaching you to anticipate what other road users are about to do, if not so good at stopping you in a hurry. I fully intend to uprate them at some point, by changing to slightly larger drum brakes.Who the hell has bloody drum brakes in this day and age??
Well irked.

Just pulling your leg, Herr Jongejaan de Fritzl. But I would have looked after her very well despite your misgivings!
You've never been to Renesse? You should go, lovely beaches.

My Land Rover has drums all round doesn't take much to lock all four wheels either (no ABS)... they're fine as long as you set them up/adjust them properly.Who the hell has bloody drum brakes in this day and age??

XJS update. (cross posted from GG. Mea culpa)
It looks fantastic. From a distance. Up close, a few bits that need tidying.
It sounds naughty. I suspect the Lynx exhaust may have something to do with that.
It's an odd mix. A very early HE at heart, so has the wire thin steering wheel, roller gauges etc, which are all very 70s, but the lynx Mods make it look a lot more recent externally.
It has a pin sized hole in the top hose, which led to a little steam and cautious eyeing of the temp gauge, but fortunately all was well. Have shoved some hose fixing tape for now, and ordered a new hose. The wheels need balancing, it gets a little wibbly wobbly between 70 & 80. The cloth headlining is in good nick, but needs de-sagging.
It feels long. Very long.
Overall, I'm rather pleased with it. It won't be a 5 minute job to make it really nice, but neither will it be a restoration. It's taxed and mot'd so I shall smoke it while I fiddle.
