I have one. Airport beer is great. I will have to wait at Luton until my brother can collect me, though.

How do people in Aberdeen cope with the seagull noise 24 hours a day? I can barely sleep because of it!!!

You are being reasonable. It is an auction and if the reserve was less than £40, the speakers should be yours.

I will be drinking tonight, but I shall be on an aeroplane so I will have no communication with TT.

Luckily I'm not the pilot.
We shall raise a glass to absent friends.

Hmm not sure if I'm being an arse here or not..

I was bidding on a speaker on eBay, won the auction for £40 (£15 less then my max bid) only for the seller to message me saying that they won't sell me the item for this as it is "less than half" what they wanted for it and they have re-listed it at £125 BIN, now as I understand the rules (and googling supports this) they have to sell to me. So I sent the seller a message saying that basically (and the link to the page on eBay which details this), I also offered to chuck them the cost for the postage as they had originally not put that on but estimated it at £20.

I realise that I'm probably highly unlikely to actually get the item in this case but I just don't feel inclined to roll over easily on this - people need to MTFU and take responsibility for the things they commit to IMHO.

So am I being an arse?

Good to know it's not just me! Wondering if I should send the guy the payment?

Quite well actually. Not sure whether its good or bad that I've now got the equivalent of 5 free footlongs on my Subcard.

I sell stuff on ebay, and never have a reserve lower than I'd be willing to sell for - and agree that you are in the right here. However, if I were you, I would let the seller cancel the deal, as I wouldn't trust him after a move like that.

My birthday shot glass is in Govan.

I'm in Aberdeen.

:-(

Not having a good week up here.

Still, I'll raise a plastic cup (I'm in a travelodge) to TT later on!
