fk yes, should have mentioned that for myself. Big one. Then I could listen to Jumpin' Jack Flash etc while I play my pinball machine right next to it.

A ten pin bowling alley in the flat.

I measured and the flat just isn't big enough.
Perfectly serious, I'd have to buy next door and knock it throughbiggrin

Do it! CB Towers would be even more awesome. Were such a thing possible, of course.

Motorbike maybe a ninja or duke.

But knowing what I'm like I would just keep pushing and pushing until I ran out of talent. I guess I would last a week
Plus I'm a big fat fatty and would look ridiculous in leather.

It would be nice to see some reasons being given, there's got to be some if people want stuff and can afford it, but yet don't buy it, surely?

Here's another one from me-

Euro Truck simulator with a steering wheel and maybe even pedals etc. Reasons, either I wouldn't play it after the first couple of goes, or else I would be on it all the time, and it's the latter that scares me, a bit.
I'd suggest that most people, myself included can't afford what they're posting. If they could, they'd buy it. I know I would. Bills to pay and all that come first.

I would have to sell the Elise to afford it. Additional monthly cost for storage. Would I really get that much use out of it? Too big for a normal parking bay so parking at a supermarket to top up supplies would be a problem. A lot of money to be tied up in one thing, but they hold their value well.

Perhaps a small lottery win then I can take the Elise on a trailer behind. Bit like this

My camper's currently up for sale for a lot of these reasons. Lovely things to own & not as difficult to park / store as you might think, but only really suitable for 2 people & only really useable for 6mths of the year. To make matters worse I work a lot of weekends, so I have even less scope for trips away during the good months. For resale, I would go with a VW every time, and keep the mileage well down (ironically by running a second car). Despite high forecourt prices, part-ex values are poor & it's financial suicide if you spend more than £20-25k on these IMO. Best value route is to source a good base van & take it to a converter if you decide to take the plunge. For us, hiring statics or staying in wooden lodges / cottages is the way forward & I'm going to run a nicer car instead.

Ps Do not be tempted to look at touring caravans as an alternative - I tried that & hated the experience!

They start off cheap but gradually become harder and harder to maintain.

Well I can't speak for them, but I could certainly afford the relatively modest things I'm posting. Posting stuff that they can't afford would rather be getting away from the point of the thread, which is all about other reasons for not getting the stuff they want.

And as we've all heard, a good fire guard, chocolate does not make.

I could probably own any of these beasts but the potential wallet raping scares me somewhat.

The Capri is financial, it could be done but would mean selling my car, plus I haven't a garage so keeping a 40 year old Ford outside in all weather's isn't a great idea, the bike, I looked at a mint CBR1000F the other day, but when you factor in the grand or so on leathers, helmet etc, I guess you could say I just don't want either enough.

No.

There are plenty of other things I could buy like say a Tablet (heck, nearly bought one yesterday as it was less than £100) but I don't need it. I have three laptops here between two of us and a mobile that can access the internet.

If I'd posted F430 Spider then yes, that is dreamland, but a few hundred on some toys is not out of the question.

Oh it's not the expense CD, it's getting the O/H to agree to it.
