A dog. We've 2 cats and the Wife is dead against it.

I also fancy a radio control tank that fires plastic bullets.
Unfortunately my Wife thinks I'd target the cats because she thinks I resent them for some reason.

I really want, and can afford, this...

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C286659#

But I struggle to understand why I'd use it, other than on rare sunny days and the odd show. Much as I want it, I cannot see any reason as to why I'd use it to justify buying it. Which is a real bloody shame.

They seem like good reasons to actually buy it. Ironically there's an old muscle car I'm thinking of buying and one by one the obstacles are being overcome. All I want it for is the odd show and the rare sunny day smile

They start off cheap but gradually become harder and harder to maintain.
Oh it's not the expense CD, it's getting the O/H to agree to it.

Beretta Ultralight.

I'm not sure I CBA with a SGL and gun safe, plus it kicks like a mule (there is no beating Newton after all) but it is a lovely gun and easy to carry on a full day's walking.

I wouldn't mind an Infrared Sauna but likewise would it be a fad use a few time then just gather dust.

My perfect thread.
I always think of things I want but don't need. I have a few £k spare but I'd rather the security of keeping it in the bank.

I'd love a top notch HD projector and screen but there is no real need for it, I blew a load of money on an awesome TV but I'm still desperate for a huge screen.

An air rifle, since leaving the forces I miss shooting and it's something I was quite good at but I know it'll rarely get used.

As mentioned by someone further up, an F1 simulator, full hydraulic moving cockpit style thing but a) it's quite a lot of money and b) I'll spend far too much time playing it.

Many other things but they're my main 3.

Same mentality here. I get excited about the idea of getting things then think it into the ground and end up thinking what's the point.

I always buy anything I can afford. Then I regret it because I've destroyed my savings.

So whatever next takes my fancy, if I manage to find the willpower not to buy it is my answer.

For what it's worth, I still use a 28" CRT as my current TV. It was a present from my father when I was 20.

Get a real one instead, of course depending on how/where you live.
