I've just realised that I'm classed as one of the MTV Generation. party
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/MTV_Generation
Certainly back then it was less corporate.

I certainly remember thinking how different and cool MTV was at the time. Pure music videos and hot presenters. What's not to like?! smile

So are you a Baby boomer, Generation MTV, Generation X or Generation Y?

Is there any more?
What are today's kids called, iphone generation?

I was 26 yesterday, generation Y! party

MTV was far cooler years ago, when it was actually just a music channel.

I skimmed through the articles, but it's funny how Generation Y are narcissistic and and have a sense of entitlement whereas the Generation X 'are highly educated, active, balanced, happy and family oriented.'

Wonder who wrote that report?

Mandatory suspicions aside, it's probably accurate.

If the younger generations are, as a rule of thumb, all the same or act in a certain way then it must be due to how they were raised by the older generations, after all, kids aren't born bad, they are raised badly.

So whose to blame really, the snot nosed ahole sixteen year old or the lazy parents and do gooders who let 'em run riot and don't set rules or boundaries and have abandoned discipline?

I'm an early 80s born. I loved MTV and grew up enjoying the likes of Guns n Roses, Nirvana and Metallica enjoying a lot of the play time. Headbangers Ball was my joint-favourite show, the other was Beavis and Butthead!

Generation X. This is fantastic news as I can now put my flat cap on and bh about Generation Y and their lack of work ethic.

I am a mix of all 3 apparently, 32 this year.

MTV was something the posh kids had with SKY TV, Beavis and Butt-head and Nirvana were the big things then.

I always thought I was Gen X but some state I am Gen Y, but given so much changed in the early to the late 80's its hard to say, I prefer X, as Y folk seem much younger in their interests and likes than I do.

Neither, it will be global warming. Ask any green Taliban for accurate and impartial information on the cause of everything. ( source, the BBC. Probably. )

Same here. I suppose you could call the cut off for gen X as everyone who wasn't an adult (18) at the turn of the Millennium.
