Will it last two weeks, getting married on the 4th, could really use a sunny day.
There are some hopeful signs, but as ever with the UK weather, when it's not nailed on for high pressure, it's likely low pressure will be around ruining things.

Of course, 2 weeks away is too far to predict accurately - keep checking back!

Current thinking for the weekend, with a particular eye on Glastonbury, is some rain around but not terrible weather.

Took the convertible, roof down,to work Thursday and Friday. It was lovely.
What's your view on carrying another male (next to you) whilst the roof is down?
If it's an A3, Micra, Beetle, Peugeot 206 CC - it's distinctly not manly...

How's Europe looking for the weekend P? Particularly the Alps south of Zurich.
The low pressure that effects UK looks like it will pass through Switzerland too

Met Office weather warning for Fri and Sat

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warning...

40cm of rain and some thunder/lightning could make Glastonbury entertaining - but as always, storms will be localized and won't effect everyone.

How long before it hits Reading? I wanted to go for a cycle after work.
Not certain it will - but certainly 90-120 mins from now.

Any signs of consistent high pressure for the South-East in the next few weeks Puggit? smile
Tentative signs, but the jet stream is being annoying.

60/40 in favour of low pressure for that period. Silverstone has a high chance of being a wet one.

This was the view today while eating lunch. It did take a bit of effort to get there though (around 800m altitude walking up from sea level)!

Chances are improving - there were lots of scenarios in play involving locations of low pressure systems, but it seems like the South should do ok this week.

Maybe an iffy weekend - and then...? wink

While erring on the side of caution for next weekend, the signs are growing that we could be heading towards our first proper hot period after next weekend. Some chance remains for some rain at the weekend.

Regardless, the upcoming week remains pleasant, certainly for everywhere south of the M62 - temps in the low 20s.

Mid-higher 20s temps possible as the week ends, an iffy weekend with sunshine and showers likely in the South and windier/wetter in the north.

Signs are building for a cracking July...

What about Saturday in the south east? I have 50 kids round to celebrate my daughters birthday, for obvious reasons I want them in the garden laugh every single weather report I can find says it will piss down, youre my last hope laugh
There's going to be rain around, coming from the NW, so it reaches the SE last (ie afternoon/evening). It's likely to be sunshine and showers rather than a washout.

I'm camping near Bristol after attending a 40th party in a farm - current thoughts are a dry evening party

These timings are as far out as possible, so could change.

Bit of an iffy weekend, and then get the BBQs ready. Following week builds up in to a scorcher of a weekend smile

(I hope...)
