I've been painting doors and garden furniture all morning, ran out of paint so I was going to walk to the local DIY shop for some more, I got to the end of the drive, turned right towards the main road and saw the sky was nearly black! I decided to drive and after five minutes it was raining heavily with strong wind and some thunder and lightning, it's still very dark now but the rain has lessened but there is still the odd rumble of thunder

Second wave of thunder and rain here in Hook now. Just in time for me to follow it down the M3! frown

Looks like it's heading our way, which is typical as I'm selling tea and cake at a Worzels gig this evening and stocked up on ice creams as it'd be a big seller banghead

Well folks, it's a lovely 32degs here in Annecy/Sevrier at the moment. My son's just caught a cracking perche from the lake so looks like fish for supper this evening smile Depart tomorrow evening, returning to a hopefully sunny West Berkshire...

They cost about £15-20 from any decent garden centre or even at B&Q.

Classic alpine summer weather this evening. Beautifully sunny all day then sensing the gathering thunder clouds around 20mins ago...now have the biggest of thunderstorms outside...it's pissing down with the night sky really lighting up and some big big lightning hitting terra firma very close by.

We're going nowhere near the Alps so we shouldn't have an alpine storm! smile

What do you think !

He turned up with a mobile air con unit !
He was checking an empty building where he is estate manager and the last Tennant had left three behind.
Nice and cool now !

Not sure you'll need the aircon this week, but still good hehe

A cooler week, with the South only reaching mid 20s, and a north/south divide around the M62 corridor. North of the M62 will be sub-20oC and sometimes wet. Summer continues south of the line, but sleep will be easier to come by!

A breakdown is never far away, so can't guarantee summer will continue, but for now it's thumbup
