Blackberries seem to be ripe earlier than normal this year.

Good thing I've actually begun preparing for winter this year, looking forward to proper frosts and a chill in the air now that I've got a new duvet and a pair of wellies.

Whhhhhhoooooooooa. I wouldn't take the current weather as indicative of anything, no switch has flipped. September and/or October could still be very nice indeed.

I'm back - 8oC as the ferry landed at Portsmouth this morning. WTF?!

France wasn't brilliant, we were near Tours and it was merely 20oC during the day. But if the wind was off and it was sunny the sun was still burning hot smile

BH Monday looking miserable, but Sunday could be quite nice smile

Welcome back smile

We got back on Tuesday morning. Did a day trip to Chambord (about 50k east of Tours) otherwise we stayed closer to Ceauce, weather wasn't great, rained a bit most days but when sun was out it felt nice and warm smile

Here at Le Mans it was 7C this morning and is already down to 15C this evening. We decided to eat indoors! I don't see the BBQ getting much more use unless we have an Indian summer.

2.1oC was recorded in West Berks this morning.

We had quite a few meals indoors in our corner of Sarthe - brrrrrrr. We went to look at the lights in Le Mans on Tuesday night. The cathedral was good, but the rest was a bit meh.

Some hope for next weekend - could be warm and dry in the South. I hope so, off to the Feastival!
