It does depend how big the bang is...a 23km wide caldera with a glacier dropping into hot magma could produce a rather large amount of noise and dust...

I work in a 40km wide caldera. The last time this place wobbled 10yrs ago it flattened the place.

I've been keeping quiet about that frown

Low pressure looks to make its presence felt, but nothing like yesterday...

Fingers crossed it'll be OK for the 6th September.

I'm organising a Pimm's & Proms event at our local pub and have a 29 piece orchestral band playing in the pub garden with up to 250 people picnicing. If it rains, I'll be shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really would appreciate it if you could arrange for a nice dry weekend as I am taking the 7 down to the Shoreham airshow on Saturday and I am currently running it with just the aeroscreen which means no wet weather gear!

Been drinking Bertie? wink

Weekend is looking better down South - as the models firm up the return of summer, they are pushing the weekend low further north. Can't rule out some rain, but it's light showers rather than anything terrible.

Next week is beginning to look like high 20s...

Hold on, Nathan Rao says Cristobal is on the way... http://www.express.co.uk/news/nature/503569/UK-wea...

Yet, the NHC say it's heading to Iceland (so do the charts). http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/graphics_at4.shtml?5-daynl...

Can't complain with the weather we've had this year, its been tremendous. A summer like this every year, and I think we would have more of a smile on our faces! Looking forward to some mild weather in September though, its like a Brucie bonus at the end of summer!
