Tentative signs of some serious heat moving up from the Continent in the form of a 'Spanish Plume' next weekend.

Danger is it looks likely to be muggy and thundery...

I was at a pub by a canal.

Female Swan tried to get into the pub. Quite funny...

"Swan walked into a pub" jokes.

Then a male swan came out and raped it in-front of a beer garden full of children.

The forecasted surface pressure charts look interesting. A ridge of warm continental air pushing up tomorrow / Friday, followed by a cold front crashing into it from the East on Saturday. Perfect for some decent thunderstorms smile

26oC possible in the South on Saturday - but as above, there's going to be some serious fireworks!

However...

Looking more and more likely that there will be some very severe storms and where the storms turn in to multi cell clusters the hail could cause damage to cars...

Travelling home from Norway today, so I'll update this evening with likely areas to be effected.

There's high pressure around, but also a possibility of a breakdown. Too early, and could go either way...

Cheers. Much as I expected. SWMBO has been googling and thankfully found a site saying a heat wave was coming hehe

Errrr - that was yesterday morning wink

Meanwhile....

Growing consensus that high pressure is arriving for next weekend- and likely to stick around. The entire week doesn't look too shabby.
