I moved in with my partner and after hearing of someone needing bits on Facebook for setting up home I asked him to come and meet me at my property.

When he sheepishly asked what was available I said "Everything". I gave him basically the whole place. Wardrobes, sofas, washing machine, tumble dryer, 40" TV, small bedroom TV, towels, lamp stands, bedside tables, chests of drawers and many, many other bits as well.
Where they promptly sold it on another facebook page. (I used to use freecycle and some of these other facebook groups until this happened to me)

Nope. Not in this case as I know where he moved to that was totally unfurnished. I also offered to help him move in so it was genuine for a change.

But I do agree I have seen things re-offered on Facebook and sometimes even on the same page they have got them from.

Girl I am seeing, who does not have a huge amount of money, has a 12 year old daughter who wants an Iphone, cannot afford it.
Long story short, but I was still paying for sim only on my ex's mobile, phoned to cancel and was offered a good deal to keep it.
Bottom line, girls daughter now getting a brand new iPhone for Xmas.

Doesn't seem like a good deed tbh?

You do it free, not for free.

So we're going to start importing dogs to adopt? You realise the supply is err... unlimited? Aside from the fact that all you're doing is funding somebodies lifestyle over in Hungary (of all places?) to ponce around with sad-eyed dogs. It is preposterous.
Sorry, but you're talking utter bks here. In some countries dogs are treated as vermin, and are routinely swept up and sent to killing stations. There are decent charities, IE not for profit, in said countries who rescue and seek to re-home them, in other countries if needs be.

One of our three is a Romanian, from a charity called Balkan underdogs. It typically costs £300 for all of the vets bills, transport, dog passports, food amongst other things to get a dog to the UK. One of the girls at this charity is Facebook friends with Sarah to this day, and from what I've seen she is far from living the high-life.

Well done for the donation!

Saw a woman running for a bus that was approaching an empty bus stop. I was driving directly in front of the bus (nothing really behind the bus). I slowed down to a crawl to allow the woman to reach the bus stop before the bus drove past. She thanked me as I drove past.
Bet the bus driver loved that! hehe

While I was down in Sydney a woman and her slightly disabled friend had broken down in a right turn lane off the Princes Highway. Transmission, as there was ATF fking everywhere... Anyway got it into neutral (thank fk) and managed to stop the traffic and push her into a car park.

It was also the day that I realised Sydney was too much like London (not one person stopped) and promptly planned my east coast trip!
