Pretty sure it does include a sex ban and even having bad thoughts.
lol at bad thoughts. It is not a sex ban, you are free to have sex in between sunset and sunrise.
As for thoughts, you cant always help what you may think but trying to divert your thoughts is better.

It's good training for your mind and body, hopefully the good habits picked up during Ramadan can be carried over after the month has finished.

Just as well there is not a "Ramadan" that requires you to refrain from sex, more interesting thread then wink
That's called "marriage".

It is but do they? smile

I've practised intermittent fasting before (16/8 variety) and find it's easy enough plus you do lose weight and can maintain. I did drink water, though, during the fast.

Keep well on the hottest day of the year in the UK!

Well, arguably, if everyone was cool for the whole year - ramadan would be irrelevant.

Some days easy, other days less good.

Does seem to have gone quick though, but then again it's always th first few days and the last few days that drag.

I can see how fasting should improve self control. A great skill with many positive uses.

Fasting also seems like a great leveller to me, rich or poor (granted the hardships will differ in severity) everybody is in it together.

Not too bad, it has passed by quickly this year. The past few days have been tougher with the warm weather we've experienced in the UK. Next up is the usual "what day are you celebrating Eid" thing wink

Never, i respect my colleagues views and he makes great food. However personally i would sooner it wasn't Halal.
I very much doubt anyone could turn me religeonist in any form, unless a religeon exists that makes beer free and gives me a pay rise.

Too be able to adhere to your convictions in this heat demands respect. Just because i disagree does not mean i can't respect it.

And don't fret to much about it being Halal, as meat prepped like that is much cleaner and better for you
