Go ahead - tell us then.
No creaking bones yet, or mobility issues.
I was 18 in 1976 and can still safely say I don't have either.

A treat for us was a bottle of Corona, you could get money back on the bottle. Thinking about it, it was a 2d refund so must have been before 1971.
We used to get Alpine lemonade delivered, the same day as Davenports delivered the beer. It was a bit pants, though they did a cream soda which you could feel your tooth enamel eroding with every sip.

Aged six learning to sail an optimist dinghy on the Norfolk broads. My mother's 40th birthday party with a big marquee on the lawn. Driving past Busseys of Norwich seeing the whole showroom cleared out except for a Mark IV Cortina under a dust sheet waiting for its launch

Ah yes - the age of real recycling. Milk delivered and empty bottles taken - same with pop bottles. And where we were, egg cartons, too!

Being packed off to some stty summer camp in Somerset for 3 weeks, getting the biggest splinter ever while playing marbles on the wooden floor of the stty dormitory we all slept in, getting head lice from the pillow of the bed in said stty dormitory, and hearing 2-4-6-8 Motorway on the radio all the time. That and it was hot.

Were you calirvoyant?

It was released in 1977 - as explained on Wiki.

"2-4-6-8 Motorway" is a single by British punk rock/new wave group Tom Robinson Band which was released in 1977, and reached #5 in the UK singles chart.

I remember a great drink full of e numbers and dodgy food colouring that I was sure was called fresca but cannot find anything like it in a google search, the advert was a cartoon polar bear and the flavours were all neon like in colour. Was I tripping on it at 8 years old, did it really exist?
Cresta - It's frothy man!

Thats the stuff, bottle of that with a straw and a packet of crisps while we sat outside and the parents were in the pub, no kids allowed in pubs back then

Some great memories here. I was six, and my main memories of that year were staying in my uncle's caravan in Exmouth and going karting with my cousin in Sandy Bay. That, and singing along to Fernando and Dancing Queen by ABBA. hehe a year later one of my brothers played me the Sex Pistols and my life changed forever....

Our back garden cracked open too.
