Since 2000... Yikes. It feels like yesterday, in a way.

Graduated high school with marks good enough to get into law and medicine.
Promptly went off to a music conservatoire instead, which was always the plan.
Graduated music conservatoire with high distinction.
Moved across to the other side of Australia following a fantastic opportunity that later went bad.
Married a Kiwi bloke I'd met while pursuing said "fantastic" opportunity. (He was pretty great, though.)
Moved back across to the opposite side of Australia with him.
Became a widow a few months later due to a one-in-a-million freak accident.
Moved back in with my parents for six months (and thank goodness for them)
Drank way too much and partied way too hard.
Kicked about in crappy jobs.
Moved to London by myself to pursue my dreams again.
Made progress following those dreams.
Met an English bloke who was like nobody I'd ever met but turned out to be everything I'd always wanted.
Moved in with said bloke.
Bought house with said bloke.
Married said bloke. biggrin

And that about brings us up to date. It's not been the easiest, but it's made me who I am today and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I can't wait to hear about your trip to the moon, discussions with the Dalai Lama and how you singlehandedly re-floated a beached humpbacked whale. Do tell.

Which one of the 2 of you has been asked for more details?

2000 - GCSE year. Did quite well.
2001 - 2002 - College. Really couldn't be arsed with it. Pretty poor results.
2003 - 2014 Joined the RAF. Still in now. Been to some great places, and some truly ste places, made some great mates and still loving it now. Numerous girlfriends, just split from my ex after living together for three years. Now saving as much as I can for a house deposit.

Too many cars to note - still miss my Racing Puma, and I still regret selling my Clio 182 after a year.

Unfortunately I think he's too busy with his research at the International Space Station to share all those tales of derring-do with us plebs.

However, when he returns we will at least know the answer to the burning question of our time: how many Playboy Bunnies can you party with in zero gravity?

wink

What an ungraceful thing to do, come onto a topic like this and announce your life is better than everyone else's!

If your life really was better, you wouldn't be on pistonheads - let alone this topic.

For what it's worth, the most impressive guy in my eyes could come on here and say;

- Found out I was adopted

- Did lots of drugs and abused alcohol

- Fixed my issues and learnt how to juggle chainsaws that were on fire whilst balancing a TV that remained tuned into channel 5...

Doesn't matter what cars you've owned or how many houses you've bought. You still die at the end so if life was an equation, posting in this topic that you've had a better life than others mean you're deducted 10 life points. And the range is -10 to 10. Back to GTa5.
