Is there anybody else that would look away when spotting their neighbour, with rising sun illuminating her like a spotlight, sitting naked and moving about for at least 30 mins every day doing her hair etc being lower than us also gives a perfect view which she is clearly oblivious of.
Should just add she is in her 70's, about 20 stone at a guess and can often be found passed out drunk in all sorts of places.
I spent my teenage years living next door to a hot twenty-something who liked to do that. Best years of my life Should just add she is in her 70's, about 20 stone at a guess and can often be found passed out drunk in all sorts of places.

Nothing too drastic for me thankfully, just got a couple two doors up who are funny about parking like many others on the thread.
The woman always parks directly outside of their house, evidently her husband isn't allowed to even if he's home first, so he seems to think that he owns the space outside the house between theirs/ours, as that neighbour doesn't have a car. As a friend was coming to my house, he the neighbour park up and tut and shake his head while looking at my car in "his space".
If me and my girlfriend have already taken the spaces outside our house and next door before he arrives home, he parks across the road and then if he spots that one of us have popped out, he moves his car back into "his" space.
Sounds just like our neighbour opposite; has a drive but doesn't use it, he parks across it strategically. They have three cars, they park car 1 outside their next door on the road, car 2 across their drive and car 3 on the road outside their house.
Car 1 goes out and the do a little shuffle; move car 2 from across their drive and into the space vacated by car 1, car 1 gets back and there is a space across their drive for it.
Now if space 1 is available, either myself or the wife will park there, purely because we know it annoys them, upon their return they do the whole looking at our car and tutting thing and sometimes will reverse right up to our bumper, leaving a couple of cm space, doesn't cause a problem to us as there is a dropped kerb before space 1 which is always vacant, so when we vacate space 1 we can just reverse or drive forward.
The odd thing is; space 1 isn't directly outside their house, it is outside their next door neighbour.
If we go out and vacate space one, if all three of the neighbours cars are back, one will be moved into the space; even if it up the road, if only two are back, the one parked across their dropped kerb will be moved to space 1, thus leaving the dropped kerb free for the third car to park across, upon their return.
What's even odder is all three inhabitants of the house are late 20's/early 30's, no old farts!!

A few weeks later I opened the curtains one Sunday to see old bid opposite had sent her husband out into the street...tin of dulux gloss white paint, on his hands and knees painting a "DISABLED" space with dotted lines outside their house...only he painted it too small and had to later extend it.

My neighbours are relatively young as well and both work, you'd think people like that would have better things to do with their free time! They have three cars, they park car 1 outside their next door on the road, car 2 across their drive and car 3 on the road outside their house.

Continuing a common theme, I have a neighbour who bought a motorbike so that he could park it in the space outside his house when he's out in the car. He NEVER rides the bike, it's just wheeled into the space by his son, and wheeled back into their front garden when not needed.
I think it's laughable. I did think about looking into the law regards parking a bike in permit parking areas, but didn't bother.

Is it taxed ? ( can check online ) If not report it to DVLA I think it's laughable. I did think about looking into the law regards parking a bike in permit parking areas, but didn't bother.

i agree, but in your mates defence I had a mate who lived in London (years back it was a sierra) and his car was stolen. when asked by the BiB when it had gone, he said no idea, haven't driven it for over a week and it was parked 100 yards from the house.
To be honest i was never sure why he had a car?
We 'lost' ours a few times as well. Couldn't remember what road it was parked on nearby...hadn't used the car for two or three weeks. To be honest i was never sure why he had a car?

Its funny how quickly traffic cones disappear when people are prompted, could also mention about their stolen property as I'm sure they don't buy these cones. One house I walk past by work uses one of the yellow Police ones with police stamped in it, I don't think you can buy these.

Someone near my work has gone as far as nicking one of the small rectangular 'no parking at any time' signs you see on lamp posts and attached it to a lamp post near their house to stop people using the nearby train station parking there. It's a proper sign but not in the proper place as it's in a housing estate with no yellow lines anywhere, plus she's put up loads of 'Residents parking only', 'CCTV in use' type signs scattered all over the place nearby.jdw100 said:

I have a friend who currently lives in Sheffield and has a dark navy Pug 206 beater and it's never used. I asked him a good few months ago after dropping him off one night where his car was and he said he had lost it and couldn't remember where he parked it ... Apparently it has been missing nearly a year but is still currently taxed and insured ... Bonkers!
Well he better find it if he wants it tested.FunkyNige said:

I've been here less than 3 years and have got through 4 of the things already. Theres never any sign of them reappearing, like it's a Bermuda Triangle for recycling boxes. Even though they're numbered, it would appear some folks can't grasp the right box.
Or maybe it's like other poster have mentioned that the neighbours have a fit about bins and collection times. Unfortunately, I can't really help having to work all day on a Friday and can't pop back in my lunch break to retrieve said bins from the kerbside.
The current replacement box has been liberally covered in large pink numbers. If someone wants to steal that chuffer they're welcome!
