It'd be a day to go overland to work in London (bus/train/walk) and avoid the tube.

I don't handle the heat well but it's not that hot yet. Plenty of water, desk fans, shade.

Last years summer we had 3 weeks of constent 25-30c heat but it was nice nice cooling breeze was fine working in the garage.
Last 2 days have been fking horrible very close and humid trying to work under an engine bay which is 80-90c isn't very nice. Plenty of water but still not nice. And typical come the weekend what do we get rain.

But in the grand scheme of things this is a lot better than freezing your bks off in winter working in a cold garage with cold tools and air lines which is also cold is no fun.

I've been 'working' from home past couple of days but popped in to town today for lunch and it wasn't too bad on the northern line just stood by the window at back of the carriage.

It looks like its going to be a warm night here in Battersea so one tip is to fill a bowl with ice then get a fan and point it down towards the ice and your bed.

Never tried it myself as my house has ac but apparently a bowl of water in front of a fan is very effective. Just don't spill the water.

Took the wrong car to work today.

6.30am looked a bit damp so the Fiesta was used.

Baking hot all day, should've taken the convertible.

spent the day in a truck around London, traffic reasonable didn't get too hot considering.

I undid an extra button on my shirt, then decided it was too Simon Cowell-esq so did it back up again.

Not very well hehe

My office has no air con - so it gets quite toasty in there and I'm not sat near a window!

I did this, followed by a 5 minute inner dialogue about the merit v. appearance. Went with it in the end.

Didn't find it too hot today as long as I stayed still enough, which I certainly have no problem doing.

Put the house aircon on max today, outside temps were a blistering 25c. Got things down to a decent 16c.

I feel for those catching the central line from Ealing broadway today. I was there a few weeks ago and sitting on the train in the sun is far from fun.

Work is a nightmare, it is a car showroom with low ceilings and no A/C so the heat and humidity gets trapped, even with the showroom doors open, fortunately though the windows aren't in direct sunlight.

It's not so much the heat that gets me it is the humidity. I bloody hate it, the dog is struggling too, she's a French Bulldog so a flat nose breed, they really struggle in heat and humidity as they can't regulate their body temperature properly; or something like that, she has just been flaked for the past couple of days and also gets agitated at night as she can't settle because she's too hot, bonus though is she can do without a walk; a little play in the garden with her bubble machine and in 5 mins she's wrecked.

I guess I'm lucky in that I can deal with temperatures on both ends of the scale quite well. Our warehouse at work isn't air conditioned and has a tin roof directly exposed to the weather, so it gets pretty hot and humid in there pretty quickly.

I can often be seen with my suit on whilst everyone else is doing what they can to stay cool. It helps to be tall and quite thin this time of year hehe

This! It's definitely helped me the last week or so, doing 9-12 hour shifts. Although with the temp not really getting any lower than 30 is starting to drag though even for me!
