Coping with the heat? By the smell of things, it seems many are coping by not wearing any deodorant.
Stinking, dirty bds.
Other than that, this heat is great. I'd happily have it like this 364 days a year. (It can snow at Christmas.)
Yesterday I was working in a school. Tiny classroom packed with 30 teenagers and no AC or even a breeze blowing through the windows. Stinking, dirty bds.

The stench was horrific.
Well I'd say this heat is actually quite refreshing! Whilst I don't envy people travelling on the tube, this time two weeks ago I was in Afghanistan where it's around 45 right now, wearing full body armour and a flying helmet. Plus the fact the flight deck of a C-130 is like a greenhouse and gets over 60 degrees before the engines are started, I'd say some people need to dry their eyes Try drinking 10-12 litres of water per day and still pissing treacle!
Daytimes should, by law, exist at 22 degrees with blue skies. Rain should happen at night, when temperatures should be a legally mandated 8 degrees.
Exceptions are allowable for beach resorts and ski stations.
Oddly, I'm perfectly happy cycling in 25-28 degrees, but the rest of the time I hate it getting that hot.
Fortunately our bedroom is in our loft conversion, with full length doors at one end and Velux windows at the other. Leave them both open at all times, and the door to the house closed, and it stays at least 6 or 7 degrees colder than the rest of the house. The only problem is if you forget to close them during a thunder storm.

Cracking day yesterday on the North East coast. Hot or very warm. My work wear this week has been shorts T-Shirt and crocks, apart from ine meeting where I put some newish jeans and some boots on.
At night, the advantages of living in a draughty Edwardian house come into play. A few open windows up in the attic, bedroom door and windows on the next floor open and you create some sort of wonderful Venturi effect? Breeze through the house. With the distant sound of the sea. A perfect sleep.

I flew into Dubai the other week from Africa and they announced it was 35c outside; it was 23.45 - I thought I misheard the announcement. Stepped out of arrivals and hit the wall of heat - bloody Nora! Luckily my S500 car service had nice ice-cool AC to enjoy the 3 minute run to the hotel Thankyou4calling said:
We've had a pretty poor sumner.
"Don't stand so close to me"Anyhoo. When I lved in Perth, Australia we never bothered to go to the beach until it was 30c. The hottest it got was 45c and I had to work, on a Coca Cola delivery truck lugging caes of (warm) coke oround.
That was proper hot.

man up you pussy's enjoy it whilst it lasts.
I'm pretty much with this to be honest. My office has decent air con and so do (some) of my cars, and the rest of the time I can wander about in shorts and flip flops enjoying the warmth.
I'm enjoying car meets in the evening sunshine and BBQ's and outdoor drinking with friends.
I was out last night with friends and it was terrific to sit outside a bar at 11pm in jeans and a t-shirt because it was still 19c.
I wish it was a California style climate here all year round. Constant average temperatures between 20-25c would be bliss.
It's all good people.
