I took my old mans Porsche 944 to School on my last day of term ever,
We did over 100 miles in it that day despite promising I'd drive it straight there and back.
Looking back I was like a poor mans Ferris Bueller.

I done the same in my last day of primary school come to think of it a few of us also brought into school there rc cars I was the only one with a proper full out racing rc cars used to race it at the local club. We held a drag race down the length of the playground even with letting the rest go for a few seconds managed to win by some distance.

We never took toys to school on our last day frown I didn't realise that was a thing.

I'll don my flame proof cloak now...

We had speeches followed by lunch and cricket on the lawn....

Well I was downmarket and went to a secondary modern, my brother who stayed in Blackpool with Dad went to a similar thing.
It was all the rage.
And YOU always broke up midweek I actually bunked off the last Tuesday and Wednesday of my 4th year (when I was 15) to work at my local TESCO's for extra dosh.

I was State to age 10 so got the best of both Worlds. Last day at big School was all speeches, prizes and a mini regatta on the river. I did a couple and then the last few either got junked in favour of going to the BGP (We always broke up on the BGP weekend it seemed!) or going in for registration followed by jumping the wall of the school gardens onto the tow path and into town to hide out in a snooker club with a few beers until time to catch the train home boxedin

Being a solitary geek I used to either sit alone reading or playing cards.

It was a fantastic game of its day. At school though, you could guarantee some moron would place their hand over the top of it, to cut the light out though.

Why have I found myself on ebay looking for a screwball scramble. I'll use it once and that'll be it. May as well just burn the money hehe

Catapult which was swiftly removed from me.

Tbh I used to head to the wood and metal room and make something with whatever was left over, I was in my element.
