I am seriously considering getting rid of my mobile.

I finished my contract, and changer to PAYG.

I have just realized that I have put no credit on it for 3 months.

However, I would really miss the camera, and Google maps on it.

Has anyone given up completely, and how did you cope?

Any suggestions about the camera and maps problem?

Sorry, if my spelling offended you, I'm dyslexic, spell checker helps with spelling, but can't help me in this situation, when several similar words will fit.

Sorry I forgot, this is PH Speeling(intentional) matters.

I was thinking an all in one solution, a friend suggested an Ipod touch, but I may as well just carry an Iphone.

For the sake of a tenner every 3 months is it not just worth keeping it in case you do need it. What would you do if you broke down in your car (besides kick yourself)?

Several years ago now I gave up my phone. Then people started complaining that I didn't get back to them for hours. So I got another phone. I rarely use it but it is always on just in case.

you can get little garmin watch navigation thingies that are much better than phones as they won't lose signal.

and prob with camera phones is you need a pretty decent camera for it to be worth while; which is bloody expensive.

A phone like a nokia 520 however might be a better shout if you need this stuff.

Good point, never thought of that, but I've had no credit for 3 months, so I'm no better or worse off now.

Guess what phone I have.

I downgraded from an Iphone 4s to the Nokia.

Yes, the camera is rubbish, and refuses to work in anything other than natural light.

OT, but in that case, do you struggle to figure out what version of a word to use?

I can normally manage to, two, and too, but have problems with anything else, and spell checker is no help.

Can't you get one where you don't have to pay every month? I have an Orange sim that has had £10 on it since about 2002. biggrin

I hardly use my phone for actual calls, its mainly used as a google in my pocket and email reader.

Don't see the point in spending loads of money on the latest phone when I just wont use it and it'll just eat up the battery over night.
