I suppose if you dump recyclables in the 'waste' bin that is fineable to prevent it.
I'm expecting our council to start charging for green waste one day but I'd love a proper breakdown of what i actually get for just shy of the 2K a year council tax i pay

My council don't recycle glass or garden waste (no option to pay). So, in my head it either goes in the recycle bin (card, plastic bottles) or the other one. Which leads to my hippy neighbour telling me repeatedly that I should take my glads down to the local bottle bank. He even offered to do it for me. So the child in me throws it in the normal bin very obviously.Some people just can't help it -

We go to the Broadway Cinema in Letchworth quite a lot (an independent cinema - funded from the Letchworth heritage fund) - Its a great cinema with a fantastic screen, £5 a ticket for mid week showings (even at that price you can still get 2 for 1 on orange Wednesdays) ........and they have a bar 
Only reason we didn't go there last night was because they only have 3 screens and had stopped showing this particular movie.

We have just moved away from the area - gonna miss it. It had so much more character - like the old city centre cinemas of old. Not like the new 'paint by number' multiplexes

It's right outside the entrance to screen 1 (the large one upstairs). It only opens at certain times (8pm onwards I think) and has a screen pulled down at other times.

Ah - have never spotted it (been here 11 years), but we don't go there often enough. Best I've had was working on a pharmaceutical site with a pretty strict work permit set up.
Spent 2 hours in the morning being inducted and getting a hot works permit, plus organising the smoke detectors being isolated.
I get some detector covers just to be safe and head up to the area I'm working in, couldn't find any steps to get high enough to put the covers on so ask a women if I can borrow the chair next to her to stand on, "have you got a working at height permit to stand on this chair" she hits out with! She then pulls the chair away and tells me she has to go me a permit, cue standing around for the next hour while they try and get a hold of the guy issuing permits to come round and write one out.
Literally took me no more than 5 seconds to attach a cover. Hate doing jobs in the place.

My previous GP mailshotted me to tell me I wasn't getting Aspirin on prescription and that I should be taking them.
I wrote back, pointing out that rather than pay £7.20 (or whatever a prescription cost then) I would rather pay 16p for 30 tabs from Morrisons. He wrote back trying to justify me getting them on prescription as he had to show I was taking his advice. Dick.

Is it unfair for a single, childless, fit and healthy person, who doesn't have a car, doesn't care about art or history to pay for schools, care for the elderly, road repairs, the local museum, and the art gallery. And why should they subsidise the local park, and the flowers ? If they don't use them ? And the libary ? What if you never read books ? And the swimming pool, and sport centre ? At the price they charge, it's not surprising they are needing a subsidy. Bloody hell, they even give families of children with special needs a free pass and (how dare they) a free pass for the main carer.
It really pisses me off that my Blind sister in law gets free admission to the council's subsidised theatre.
Anything else ? Oh yes. The planning department ? I know they make a charge, for planning applications but I'm guessing the more complex one's cost alot more to deal with ? And whilst we are at it....... I can't think of anything at the moment.
Erm Youth clubs. Social workers. Careers Service.
Basically you need to get your head around the idea that we live in a massive commune. Some people pay in, and get little personally for it, and some people don't pay in (because they can't) and more get their money's worth.
