Must be more than this!

9/11. JFK... all well documented.

Where's the 'not as exciting but probably true' stuff?!

Iraq moving from dollars to euros caused war

Gold price based on very old US geologic data has nothing to do with actual 'reserves'.

and more believable; Hitler flew to a base on the Moon to end his days.

The Lady Di conspiracy is of course rubbish, but this can be proved by one massive fact.

She was not wearing a seatbelt. Had she worn a seatbelt like the bodyguard in the front she'd most probably not be dead.

If you are going to bump her off, organising a crash in what was at the time one of the safest cars around would have been impossible.

Better to use a car bomb.

Utter utter rubbish.

Agree that there is probably more to JFK than meets the eye.

That said, lets hear some fun conspiracy theories. They are great for a laugh.

since posting in this topic, Google won't serch from the address bar. Yahoo.com won't open. Ask.com is typically useless.
Now THAT is a conspiracy!

For the conspiracists amongst you:

So, there are 2 possible extremes here -

1. The american government hijacked 2 planes full of people, and flew them in to 2 towers, which they had rigged to explode / collapse. Worried that this would be enough of a crowd pleaser to justify a long and ultimately fruitless war in iraq to add to the pointlessness of Afghanistan, Bush ordered an additional building to have a controlled demolition, then had warplanes shoot down another jet for sts and giggles.

2. A very well orginised group of terrorists orginised one of the biggest atrocities against civilians the West has seen since world war II.

Are you really thinking 1 is more likely? Really?
If it was the case, how in gods name do you keep an operation of that magnitude under wraps? The yanks can't control most of their documents (see Asange, that other bloke who lives in an embassy somewhere etc) - yet the only "leaks" are from proper nut ars on youtube and 4chan.

But then what would I know? I'm clearly just another one of Their puppets...

What it Asange is working for the American government, putting out these leaks. But they are all controlled and nothing too serious. So that people think, "well the government can't be hiding anything because it would of been leaked by Asange".

I'm not suggesting I believe that. Just throwing it out there. I does always surprise me that people like Asange don't just disappear. If he was killed by the America Government, who's going to A) be able to prove it and B) be able to do anything about it. So why don't they just get rid of him? Maybe they need him.

MH17 was shot down on the day Isreal invaded Gaza, Did they do it with a drone to take the heat of themselves? Look at the maps, it may have been possible....

Theres plenty out there I watched a good documentary about it on ch5

One part they shown footage of investigators at a range trying to recreate the fatal head shot with the same rifle/bullets they found it very difficult to do so.

Its one of the very few Conspiracy theories I'd believe.

The one that I've always found interesting is the US bombing of the Chinese embassy in Belgrade, supposedly to destroy the remains of the F-117 that had been shot down earlier in the campaign (and had found it's way into Chinese possession).

Your "massive fact" doesn't alter the possibility that any would-be conspirators might have known that she didn't wear a seatbelt, either at all or in certain circumstances (such as when travelling in that car, for instance).

Top lurker I know! But re 911; if you have a bit of spare time then this is a pretty interesting watch:

particularly the collapse of WTC7 being reported before it actually happened...
Loose change is pretty much a lesson in how not to investigate anything, or rather the internet allows village idiots to congregate and how to believe a man in Nigeria wants to give you some money.

It always comes down to 'WHO EMPTIES THE BINS?'
every conspiracy would have someone involved, somewhere, with more to be gained by talking.

but some of my favourites when i used to read the st in the early 90's are....

Jesus and his twin brother thomas- years of vatican suppression.
http://gnosis.org/thomasbook/intro.html

in the same vain 'the holy blood and the holy grail' - dan brown then turned this idea into his piss poor novel.

the alien base at the north pole is pretty out there.

Conspiracy theorists assume that the world is run by incredibly competent, capable, powerful, intelligent people who can construct the most fantastically elaborate and detailed plots on a vast scale.

In my experience, that simply isn’t the case. Government ministers, CEO’s, etc are not that different from the rest of us. They may be more driven and ambitious than most, but they are human, they make mistakes, they make poor decisions. Omnipotent evil geniuses they are not.

Conspiracy theorists, sitting in their bedrooms wearing their tin foil hats, have never actually met any senior decision makers in their lives, so it’s hardly surprising they don’t understand this.
