Don't think anyone has posted this :

Paul McCartney actually died in 1966 and was replaced by a lookalike. Apparently this story has been confirmed as true by Ringi Starr http://www.mirror.co.uk/usvsth3m/7-completely-legi...

There is an interesting variation on that theory that holds that Paul didn't die but they supposed clues are part of a conspiracy to convince everyone he did.

Why and by whom, I don't know, I never bothered to read that far.

My favourite conspiracy theory may have been mentioned before (I haven't read the whole thread) and it concerns the CIAs involvement in the trafficking and sale of cocaine and other drugs on the street of America in the 80s, linked to the funding of the Contra rebels

You can start with the testament of Rick Ross (the real Rick Ross not the rapper)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%22Freeway%22_Rick_Ro...

But the plot thickens quite quickly, some people suggesting that the war on drugs is some sort of internal American government dispute between groups of state (and foreign state) employees who run the business and those that want to stop it.

It's very interesting and there seems to be a lot of admission that the CIA at least "helped" drug trafficking not just from South America but also in SE Asia as a matter of policy for many many years...

It is probably also worth asking a few questions about heroin production in Afghanistan. The Taliban all but shut down production, but since the U.S. Invasion, heroin production is at record levels..

Who is the major market for all this Heroin? Could it be the U.S.?

I saw a documentary about this once, Mel Gibson and Rob Downey Jnr featured in it.

Speaking to my step-daughter and she believes in chem trails, queen is a lizzard, Illuminati and all that. I then said something like "Oh Christ, it sounds like some crap that weirdo David Icke bangs on about".

She got quite humpy as thats were she said she gets all her facts from.

I was quite shocked. Had quite a heated debate but could not shift her view at all.

My daughter asked me whether the moon landings were real yesterday.

I said "yes" and explained how the flag was held up by wire, not wind.

Terrifying - she is well read and well educated.

Just to clarify, I dont claim to believe in this or any other conspiracy theory. I do occasionally find them interesting either because of the coincidences involved or the sheer wild imagination that some people have.

I saw this and some of the images are quite striking http://www.ebaumsworld.com/pictures/cartoons-and-o...

Also I had to post the Denver Airport conspiracy. No matter what the reason is behind the choice of decor, it is an interesting choice for an airport! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/destinations/nor...

To be honest I have zero trust of the governments and I personally think there is a hell of a lot of propaganda out there that makes people think a certain way, like certain things, buy certain products, support certain agendas etc.

That said, it's as much my cynicism as opposed to keeping my tinfoil hat shiny but some conspiracy theories (in my opinion) have some interesting facts behind them. Yet there are some out there that go beyond the realms of logic and common sense.

A thread revival is surely in order for the revelation that Katy Perry is the Queen of the Illuminati
