I live very close to a crossing and at least twice a year there is a fatal. And ALWAYS after massive investigations it turns out to be the driver who cannot wait for two minutes.

Reminds me of running in a 'race for life' event in a London Park. The final section was a straight path to the finish but with benches either side. I narrowly missed running straight into one!
