It's just a metal framework inside his trousers that locks in place to support him when he bends the right way?
Same as all the "flying" yodas and infinite tedious variations use.
I meant the timing or the stunt and its reaction to the guests.
So its locked into the floor?

The device is strapped to his leg(s) and is attached to a metal plate on the floor (hidden by the rug) which goes behind him to provide balance.

If you're as mature as I am, you may remember an unlikely celeb doing this on TV.
It was none other than Des O'Connor, who revealed the secret. There were two strong points bolted to the stage. He could walk up to them and slide his special shoe heels in. This wasn't obvious so when he then leaned way beyond the point of balance, it looked like quite a trick.

Nothing new under the sun.

But Jackson took a patent on it anyway ...

just as easy to do by tilting the entire frame of the floor and building while keeping the cameras stationery. Thereby avoiding any fees due to Jackson.

As proved by Lionel RichTea in his song "I just called to say I love you" in 1992.

If it's paper, like the cameras, then it's easy.

Quite, but you need to be careful of the paper floor and any shelves or painting hanging on the paper walls. Lots of Sellotape helped in RichTea's case.

Apart from that it is a total piece of piss.

Unless it rains.

it doesn't look or sound like a bungee cord.

And it's pitch black

And the hole is so small

So many questions!? The video answers none of them
