F**k those belts
When seatbelts were first introduced in the UK, there was quite a lot of resistance to them as some drivers argued that in the event of an accident you are thrown clear of the vehicle and this is somehow a good thing. hehe

The argument was trotted out again when it was moved to make wearing them compulsory.

Some idiot on here last year made the same argument.

Don't forget you can also do without your belt by just holding on tight, as explained here a couple of weeks ago:

Cars can be smashed up at a decent speed and if you know it's coming, and especially if you are the driver and have the steering wheel to brace against, chances are you'll be OK. Back in the day I tested this a few times, even rolling one motor end to end 3 times. Stepped out just fine, before airbags as well.
Sometimes on short journeys I won't bother with the belt, but otherwise I always do even though it does restrict your vision when heavy braking up to roundabouts as you can't move forward to look past the A-pillar.

OK so someone died, and it's not (really) a laughing matter, but an advocate of not wearing seatbelts is the only fatality in a roll - in the same sort of truck as in the GIF - because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car during the crash.

people will try and argue things when only some of the facts back up what they are saying.

I bet there could be >1% accidents where a seatbelt would be an issue, whether it be trapping a person in a car or someone getting flung out where the alternative would have been to be held in place for a hefty smash, the other percentage would make everyone survive, but they zone in on the exceptions. Mind boggling, some people don't even try to look for statistics to make an informed decision.

I call fake....

Now, if they were wearing white frocks and shouting "Alan's Snakbar", then you'd be on the Riyal.

I REALLY wish people wouldn't quote the actual GIFs on this thread.

It oft grinds to a halt due to 3057 instances of the same being loaded up just so someone can say..

As veeyat said, it doesn't work like that. It only downloads it once, the rest are just copies.

I think he's probably referencing CPU utilisation, not download size.
