I'm curious why it winds some people up.

It certainly wound up the guy I saw in London who, when the traffic lights turned red, the green pedestrian crossing lights came on and the beeping started went to cross the road and was hit full on by the cyclist who didn't think the red traffic lights related to him.

He must have going 20 odd mph and the sound as the two hit was sickening, The bike ended up 20 yards down the road and nearly took out a load more pedestrians. I think the police and ambulance chaps were a bit wound up by it as well.

I appreciate the lights don't mean it's safe and you should be looking but this cyclist just went for a gap in between the crossing pedestrians - idiot!
