One pal who could certainly be a "friend with benefits" is off limits because she was his brother's gf in about 1985 so is firmly off limits. Shame, because she's a nice lass.
I don't get this. He won't shag her because his brother did 32 years ago? Really?

They need to grow-up a bit - if they fancy each other, get it on.

I do like the idea of a girlfriend with no connection to my current area. That would be pretty decent, I just always assumed it wouldn't work.

Pretty much everyone I date knows, or has slept with someone i know. It's funny for the most part, but it occasionally has it's drawbacks.

Think I might up my search radius to 25 miles. That'll include Bristol and Swindon.

Edit: And yeah, exes of friends family shouldn't automatically be off limits. That's nuts.

I done that with my ex and would not do it again. She lived 25 miles from me and it came to the point that I CBAdriving over to hers. She never came to mine as she couldn't afford the fuel. 15 miles is now my limit

I live almost 40 miles from anywhere, I thought it would be a big hurdle to dating regularly but it's actually an asset, women love escaping the crazy city and enjoy the peace and quiet of my shack in the country.

Sounds like you really cared for her. The day I can't be bothered driving 25 miles for any of my friends, let alone a gf, I'll take them out of the phone book.

As for brother's ex, I agree, but it's family stuff. I don't think his bro gives a toss, but other family members still might if it were more than a one-off and they found out.

It's not that much of a chore I grant you, but for me at least it's really easy to find someone to date where I live or the neighbouring towns. Considering I live in the countryside it always surprised me when some of the people I know in the city were travelling for an hour to date girls, regardless of intention.

I dated a girl who lived about an hour away once. It was a pain. That said she couldn't drive, and I have my daughter a lot. I called it off after a while, but I was younger then. I think I'd have put more effort in now.

i totally get having a GF who doesn't live with you. I sometimes really miss that, as you can have both. Once they are in, they are in. They never fking leave. They're always there when you leave and there when you get back... clearly that has positives as well as negatives but there are occasions when you think... i could just do with a night in on my own. Anyway, that aside, but why would you want a GF who lives in a different county? What does that give you that her living a few miles away doesn't, unless you are cheating on her shamelessly?

I had a message from an old friend asking if I watch Celebs Go Dating. I don't. It turns out the founder of wouldliketomeet and dating guru on said reality show is an 'old flame' of mine. Interesting.
If it's who I think it is, he comes across as a bit of a plum. TV edit notwithstanding.

There's a cracking example of a woman taking the piss on a date - crying at a 'mixer' where the celebs were supposed to set up a date or two, nice chap tries to comfort her, she asks him out.

swanky restaurant, she's ordering tequila after tequila, plus all the expensive food options, leaves him with a £170 bill then decides she's not 'into' him...

Although fair play, the 'relationship coaches' lay into her big time as the fella clearly isn't wealthy. Then she does it all over again (plus oysters which he doesn't like) with a 'banker' - when within twenty minutes she's already decided he's not getting any further.

Bear is fking funny on it though, clearly using it for as much transient fanny as possible, while they're acting like he's looking for a soul mate.
He is the relationship coach/dating agency owner! hehe

I downloaded and watched the entire of S2 up to date. It's quite interesting. I wonder if I should apply to go on it (still in contact with two of his other exes also. Tom (the Receptionist) would have a field day with us!

Georgie is so cute. Ferne seems just a little uptight/spoilt, the never ending Tequilla Shots an example of how high maintenance I imagine she can be. Bear is just ridiculous. Joey Essex, well, bless him. And Perry (?) he is fun! Probably would've been better set up with (Izzy?) the Cougar.

I watched the first episode on catch up Sunday night, which swiftly turned into the whole available series. It's car crash but addictive!

If I win the Euromillions, I'm having Tom as my valet. His diction is superb!

Ferne is a spoilt little cow. Georgie is utterly lovely. Perry reminds me of a few posters here, completely out of his depth even talking to a girl.

I had been texting a girl for a fortnight. She seemed nice on the texts so I decided to ask her out. We met on Sunday afternoon. When I first clamped eyes on her I thought she looked a bit bigger than I thought she was. Nevertheless I spent the evening with her and we bought rounds of drinks. We had a few snogs and went for some food before getting a taxi home. While getting food a few mates text me to say that she had uploaded pics of me on Facebook with her and had captions on them. I got the sneaking suspicion that she was trying to make someone jealous. I had a look and you'd think we were a couple after seeing them. People commenting and all that. I had kind of decided I didn't want to see her again and this was the final straw. We got a taxi home which she paid for. First thing in the morning she text me and I never replied. She then text again so I thanked her for a nice evening and told her I didn't wish to see her again.
