A girl i pulled once springs to mind from hearing you story. I had two fingers up her arse before we'd barely even kissed. I probably wouldn't fall in love with her if i were you.

A bar is always the easiest for an evening. At least then there is no pressure at all, and its very easy to go your separate ways if needed. I would keep something more interesting for a second date.

If you're doing evening, and I would, this place worked for me last time: http://www.foundation-bar.co.uk/

Right next to the station, a decent level of background noise so you can chat freely, it's a bit darker (but not too) with plenty of spots to sit out of the way to build up some intimacy and the dress code from everyone else was fairly varied. The drinks were reasonably priced too!

So you're talking about animals and want to take her to the zoo... How old is she really?

If she is of drinking age I'd side with the others and suggest a bar wink

Best to pick and area over a venue, have 3-4 places in mind and hop after every drink - turns the evening into more of an adventure and as you're bouncing around town rather than just sat opposite each other all night.

Pick a decent area as close to your pad as possible and make sure you've got a good bottle on wine chilling for when you bring her back. Earlier bar hopping should ensure a mutual reduction of inhibitions.

8pm is the perfect time to meet up as town won't be too mental yet and it will give her time to sort her st out. One mate went off a guy because he suggested meeting at 7, no girl will ever be ready by 7 for a date.
Cheers for the suggestions guys - just to clarify, the zoo isn't as tragic as it sounds - I was explaining how I once got beaten up in South Africa by a Baboon and talk about animals started from there.

Ok we've agreed to do an evening, so it will probably be a bar (or maybe a couple). Foundation looks pretty good, cheers Calza. I reckon we'll also go to Bounce - somewhere she said she's always wanted to go.

I live in Essex, but she lives in London so no chance I'll be bringing her back to mine - and I highly doubt I'll end up at hers! Still unsure on whether I actually want anything to come of this, only reason I pursued her in the first place is because she is waaaaaay out of my league and yet was still interested!

My only other worry is that I can only really do this Saturday - I go on holiday on Sunday for 10 days, so if she can't do Saturday and we have to schedule for 3 weekends time, she might lose interest!

That's a poor excuse, I've just moved away from Essex but when I was there the majority of girls I dated were in London and I had several 'successful' first dates.

Had a good POF one on Friday. 5'1, managed to match me drink for drink, told me she "wasn't one of those fking feminists" before leaping on my lap and declaring she wasn't wearing any knickers. Cute, fair bit younger than me, decent job and plays GTA. I'm in love.

See that would just put me right off if a girl did that, especially on the first date?! eek

I'm back in the game. Had a short term fling with a very hot 6' brunette that sadly amounted to nothing - shame as it was a great match but timings were all wrong.

So I've dusted off my tinder and happn profiles and it's back on the search. Local matches aren't on the cards at the moment as I've been in North America for the past 3 weeks and don't have the premium function to allow me to swipe on those back home. That said, Tinder here is going off the hook and the English accent alone in a bar leads to a flurry of interest - if only things were so straight forward back at home.

That's a good question.

When I was on E Harmony you set your preferences to a certain distance but the site calculator worked on "As the crow flies" so a 50 mile preference bought in matches that were actually a 2 hour or 89 mile drive.

What I started to do was have a sort of scoring system, depending on how the match looked and the realistic likelihood of there being a "Connection" I'd grade them.

So I'd travel the 2 hours if someone looked great and I felt I was on a promise and other times ditched people who were 10 miles because they didn't appeal.

My worst mistake was driving to Norwich, 2 hours, to be told it wasn't for her before I'd even gone to the bar.

Often people suggested meeting halfway but I found there idea of halfway was a lot nearer to them than it was to me.

Fortunately I'm used to travelling and worked on the basis that the ideal match was unlikely to live next door.

So, travel as far as you think is worth it in summary.

That sounds like a lie, which is a shame as the rest of her profile does seem to be way way more honest than pretty much any other dating profile I've ever seen.

Went from Winchester to London once. So not far for me.

That said I had one girl come down to Brighton from Liverpool, another drive from Bournemouth and a lass wants to visit me from Essex this weekend.

That said, while the Essex one is absolute filth (sent me pictures and a video clearly showing what she'd had for lunch) - I'm rather liking this girl from Friday who's coming over for dinner tomorrow. Reckon I might just stick with her for a bit. Lot's of texts and seem to really hit it off.

Seeing two nurses at the moment.

One does the boring stuff well and nice to chill with

Other one likes a good night out and is wild in the bedroom.

Can i keep both?

That reminds me .... I hadn't bothered much with PoF for about a month, went on about a week back and realised that all my pictures had disappeared. Pretty sure I hadn't received any notification of pictures being removed for being inappropriate (they were various shots from the office, a recent record breaking row, etc.)

No but I had the kind of view of her lady garden that would make a gynecologist blush. First time I've come across an Essex girl on POF and she is exceeding all stereotypes.

Your knowledge of biology, and where food goes in/out, and how that relates to a lady garden appears to be lacking.

But as per Cheech/Chet Pussy said .... ffffuuuucccckkkkk it ....

Depends on where you are too! London and it wouldn't be far. However where I am probably around 50% of people within 25 miles have around 5+ common friends in common because it's such a small place and everyone knows each other! However nice driving roads and awesome nature so does have benefits even if you don't hit it off.
