I'm very, very old.
To be honest I don't want a relationship, as I think I'm too weird/eccentric which leads to conflict.
Men have very strong views of what they want, how I should be, what I should do. They don't give me any space/time to myself, and they don't give anything back.
(Plus I'm not entirely vanilla, which limits things somewhat. )
You're using quite a broad brush to paint that picture. Date the person, the individual. Nothing else matters. To be honest I don't want a relationship, as I think I'm too weird/eccentric which leads to conflict.

(And old blokes are awesome, btw...)

But you're not exactly a pensioner are you, so what's the problem? I've dated girls 20 years my junior and had a great time with them. The relationships were never destined to be anything other than short term things, but were fun while they lasted with no animosity once over.
Thinking about it, they were the least stressful of the relationships I've had and the girls certainly had the most honest approach to dating.

More seriously, it's best to do what you're happy with (as you know). I joke around a lot about being single, but in reality it's much better than being in a relationship that doesn't work or desperately trying to find one to make you "happy".

I only remember those pesky Romans. More seriously, it's best to do what you're happy with (as you know). I joke around a lot about being single, but in reality it's much better than being in a relationship that doesn't work or desperately trying to find one to make you "happy".
I'm in an 'open relationship' at the moment, on my terms.
It would be lovely to meet someone to have fun with, but it's not going to happen.
I plan to buy a herd of cats.
