I'd be thinking that was a bit odd then, after that amount of time knowing each other...

Have you heard from her yet?

Why on earth are 18 year olds on fking tinder? What ever happened to meeting someone through the course of your normal life. Sad times.

I don't really get the objection. I go out 5 - 6 nights a week and meet people in the usual way. But why not expand the 4 or 5 you meet au naturel of an evening to a further 40 or 50 you can peruse in an virtual meeting place via tinder? At least you know you're not barking up the wrong tree by making eyes at the ones that are married or involved (for the most part, at least).

Tinder isn't PoF or Match.

Tinder is Hot or Not, with occasional hookups and one night stands, that's pretty normal for young'uns.

I'd be questioning more if Match was full of 18 y/o's with big descriptive profiles about their 'life experience' and perfect partners etc.

This fella gets it.

When I was 18, I was putting my knob in any half decent looking bird that would let me. Tinder would have made it that much easier!

Yea I'd think it odd too especially after the noises made before going.
I'd sent a text just saying have a good flight etc. And just heard back actually as she's headed to the airport just now for the first leg, doesn't want to come home and it's been the hardest goodbye of her life.

  • Edit to add* So I went back on Tinder for a wee browse since I reckon this is a lost cause, going through old matches and spotted our match. Tinder profile changed to "Scot living in Oz looking for fun adventurous people". So when she said before going she was just going to see family etc. and it wasn't about meeting guys. Makes me just think, after all the odd stuff she came out with, me thinks one doth protest too much.
Ah well, plenty more out there, bit of a waste of 2 months though, I feel like a bit of a mug.

Me too, I had university parties etc but I reckon if I had Tinder I'd have been able to get hold of a different bird every couple of days instead of watching South Park and getting stoned/drunk on cheap beer and cider.

To be fair that reads like it's not about just meeting guys.

It looks like it's about meeting guys, girls and couples.

Keep in touch, on her return she'll have a whole arsenal of filthy experiences to draw on.

Yep, all advice duly noted. Can't log in to Tinder just now (seems to have some sort of issue) so can't get straight back on the hunt but I will.

I'd still "meet up" with her if she gets in touch, I'll just not be putting any effort in really. No sense purposely burning bridges and all that, I can spend my time building some new ones and I'm sure I'll burn plenty of those without going out my way laugh

There was a lass from Oxford I met a while back that still messages me every now and again. Wonder if she's up my way any time soon, she's pure filth so that might make me feel better laugh

Right chaps, got a date with nice lass up in London. Don't usually bother travelling further than a local bar for most but fancy a night out in London and it's a good excuse to visit my sister and her sofa (assuming the date goes badly).

My suggestion of Wetherspoons in Dagenham has been shot down.

Any idea's on some good parts of the big smoke to go?

Camden was always a good laugh but everything closes early, Shoreditch is, well Shoreditch.

well you could take her up the oxo tower... however that's prob a bit expensive for a first date so you could just bum her instead?
