I think its daft to regard Match (or others) as anything other than a means to a meet - If the guy met his victims in clubs would they be to blame????
I've had dates from Tinder and dates from "real" life and theres no difference (other than Tinder conversation is a fun icebreaker)
Surely the sweat from the womans beaver (because of your six pack) quickly eliminates any ice that there may be. I've had dates from Tinder and dates from "real" life and theres no difference (other than Tinder conversation is a fun icebreaker)

With the recent news about the rapist and lack of support from match.com - could I ask if anyone has felt threatened with online dating?...or has expected sexual favours on the first date?
Er yes. I've said on here previously that I met someone through Match who after the obligatory one date became a friend with a lot of online dating stories. My ex girlfriend who I also remained friends with was using Match & would tell me about some loony tunes. Nothing overtly what you'd call 'an outright feckin physco'but the mental is as strong in the male as the female.Specifics. My ex GF had a guy sending her several messages a day via Match for just under a week which toward the end got quite worrying in their demands for constant needy attention & presumption of exclusivity without having ever actually meeting. Simple matter to cut off contact via Match but if numbers had been exchanged, an initial meet had happened before the weirdness? Who knows. Bonkers.
One bloke proposed to her on the very first meet up & was pretty insistent on escorting her home until she was able to 'escape' by asking a nearby mate if she could come get her. She didn't want to go back to her car in case he followed her. That did scare her a bit & ended her online dating for good.
My friend told me of a guy who after swapping numbers & a cpl of phone calls to sort a date out phoned her to say good night one eve before confessing he was burping the worm looking at her profile pic! Christ knows where that sort of stuff would have ended up - apart from a belly button full of man fat.
Nearly all the girls i dated did say that a) they got bombarded with messages each day - upto 100 in a lot of cases, b) a lot of those messages would be c0ck pics without any text or prior messaging & c) messages pretty much demanding a bunk up on the first meet if the bloke had a few miles to travel or d) offering cash for a shag!
Some of it you can laugh off as blokes being typically stupid blokes but tbh a lot of it caused the girls some worrying about actually meeting up so I can see why a lot of messages go answered & how those sorts of things can create concern. Lets face it, if as a father of a mid 20's - mid30's woman, that you knew was using online dating you'd be pretty stting it knowing some of the fruitloops out there. They also said that many blokes would ask for social media connection almost immediately. As a bloke i had the same from a few women so fairs fair & all that.

.
I've heard of this happening and I really wonder what goes through these guys heads. .
So they're sat there perusing PoF and see a pretty girl and their next step is to mail them a photo of their cock - no preamble, no message, no other photos, just a picture of their cock.
In what universe is that going to ever have the desired effect?

But surely you'd need to send it to a billion women across this world and several others before you got a 'hit'?And no matter how sad and desperate - surely you wouldn't want to actually meet the one women that actually responds in any way other than being totally repulsed - much less stick anything in her..?

Ok, I have a sense of humour & can see the funny side. But from a woman on her own point of view its pretty weird & creepy. No wonder most of them run a mile.

Would the way to stand out be to send a picture of an actual cock, you know, one with feathers and a beak?
Definitely. There must be at least 1 woman on a dating site that hasn't had that one yet... I've seen that gag several times and I'm a straight bloke who doesn't go on dating sites. (In other words, no)
One of my guys in the office is doing it, great source of amusement for the rest of us !!
He gets a number of emails a day starts conversations, then the girls disappear for 4 days and then email him back like they haven't missed a day and nothing has happened.
So 5 /6 emails a day then nothing for 4 days, and this is not just one girl its probably 6 or 7 !!!
So what's this all about ?

Well they are getting emailed by loads of other blokes. They go on a date thinking this is it, so don't bother mailing your mate, they get shagged a few times, the lucky shagger either gets bored or realises why they are on match in the first place ( i.e. they are lunatics ) and run off, panicked they then start mailing your mate ( and all the other blokes ) again who temporarily became plan B, whilst they thought they'd found plan A. But now he has a chance of being plan A again so is getting email. This cycle will repeat. He gets a number of emails a day starts conversations, then the girls disappear for 4 days and then email him back like they haven't missed a day and nothing has happened.
