If I was a woman I wouldn't go out with a man who's best friend is a woman. Stinks of unrequited.

Whilst others point out it's a numbers game also be picky yourself and then take the extra time to read their profile and mention something that they've said in your shortish msg to them. I found that this massively increased the chances of them writing back as it looks like you took genuine interest, not just sending out 100's of spam type "you're hot" emails to every girl on there.
Women who have a blank profile or fill out the bit about 1st date with 'Surprise me' are just fishing for compliments or attention. If you are actually looking for someone you'd give them a clue as to what they want

ALL women without exception love matchmaking! Drop the nod to the right person and they’ll do all the work for you, possibly even set up a date
Really? Hmmmmmmmmmm There is a lass at work who is friends with two female friends of mine..... both friends are not exactly discrete or subtle though.... Bearing in mind I'm 43, I'm not going in with "Yr frnd is hot xxxx"

Women love match making unless it's a friend whose better looking than they are... Then they have no interest in helping you out. I know one who will even go out of her way to bad mouth you to the other girl despite apparently being friends. I speak from experience.

Well I know I'm not the best looking guy, but it turns out I'm so ugly that I'm at the "There's no one new around you" stage on Tinder without much joy.

Her only decent pic isn't her own I'm afraid.

That's too lame, even for me, I'd sooner adopt the Derek and Clive approach

How can you be sure? It looks like her (30 yrs ago), but why would you put up pics of your daughter? (same earrings!)
She has edited out one of her pics btw, there was one of a particularly peachy pert bottom in some small knickers and suspenders which has gone - it was her main profile pic a few days ago.
That was what drew me to her profile in the first place....

The peachy pert bottom wasn't hers. Tineye had hundreds of results for that image.

I've always wondered do the women whose profiles are linked in these threads wonder why they are suddenly getting attention from all over the country and beyond?

A very strange lady all round then!

If you (viewing) aren't logged in I don't think your interest is logged, if you are I believe the member can only get a rough idea of who is looking, with paid membership (which most on there probably don't have) you can get to know more.

Met a lass of POF on Sunday, she is very pretty, eloquent, intelligent, independent and capable. Lots of texts and emails, try to meet up Friday or mid next week. Very happy!

A friend from work has recently started on POF... i wasnt sure why, as following her last breakup i would have expected her to have a long line of guys chasing her.. but anyway, proof there is at least one attractive, sane, successful woman on there...

plus she has some great stories from it, the most recent about a guy she had the first date with, that announced he actually had a girlfriend, but because he liked her so much, wanted to start seeing her, but had a holiday booked with the current one, so will dump her in January afterwards... and then seemed confused why this wasn't an appealing offer...
