Your wise man was not so wise then....

What about the 3rd type - the ones you have slept with?

Can I have a ruling from the floor please?

Picture the scene, young couple, go out for lunch. Girl goes to the toilet and guy quickly checks his phone. Has a snapchat from a friend he's known for years of her fully clothed and mainly her face outside at home. Girl catches glimpse of photo on her way back. Guy thinks nothing of it, doesnt reply to picture and carries on with lunch. Later on, girl friend goes ape st and makes a massive deal of it, saying she shouldnt be sending any pictures at all to him, demands to see the picture, then wants the guy to tell her not to send pictures again and asks to see proof of the message, before saying that she cant trust him and the whole thing is over before it really begins.

My take on it was that the guy did nothing wrong. Sending pictures via snapchat is reasonably common these days, the picture was taken outside, fully clothed, no hint of anything sexual/flirting. The gf's opinion was that said girl was fishing for attention and compliments and she shouldnt be sending pictures like that. The guy's argument was that its only the same as getting a text from a friend.

So girls, would you be pissed off if your guy got a snapchat picture from a friend? Albeit one which obviously was fishing for compliments?

It's called a narrow escape. Run - don't look back.

If she liked him, she wouldn't dump over something that stupid; she was looking for an excuse. Good riddance

Obviously not quick enough! That one seems like there are a few insecurities, give a wide berth.

I think I'm burnt out on online dating, I never seem to get anywhere. I've been on several sites for three or four months and have only managed to lure two victims into meeting, neither led to anything.

I used to message loads of girls and never get replies, but since changing my profile description to something more honest/ soppy I get so many messages that I no longer initiate conversations. Still, nothing comes from these either. I'm definitely not boring, I think it's just hard to get my personality across over text.

You're doing something right if you're getting sent lots of unsolicited messages though, I could probably count mine on one hand... I don't do too badly online, response rate is alright, I can regularly line up 1 or 2 new ladies for drinks per week if I'm trying, and I've been told I'm good-looking hehe but I've had "player" profiles and total soppy wuss profiles and gotten barely any unprompted messages with anything...

she probably thought that "the guy" (i.e. OP) was flicking through Tinder whilst she was doing a st. I'd not be happy if I thought my date was trying to find another date whilst we were on a date. I wouldn't go weird about it though, I'd probably just fking leave.

nothing goes down better than when your date realises you've photoshopped your pictures. Surely not serious?

If she goes down on you based on the pictures, it clearly works. biggrin

She's probably done it too, or posted a picture from 5 years ago.

Cheers guys, some great suggestions! We're both Tigers fans so I think a rugby match would be good. My folks have corporate hospitality, might see if dad will lend me his tickets for one game. Alton Towers sounds great too, haven't been in ages, I'll just need to avoid the Smiler!
You're a long way from Leicester?
