Obviously internet sleuthing is a real no-no on PH on punishment of death for transgressors, but someone mentioned in recent a post is quite easy to find on POF. But lovely though they are, they are from t'North so probably speak funny. And wear clogs. And drink pints with twigs in it.
But apart from that...

Just caught up on a bit of this.

I'm disappointed in you lot, there are virtually no escapades, filthy stories, dating nightmares or jumping on females when they post on the thread.

What the fk has happened to this place?

Emma (who posted above) has her pic in her profile, have any of you pm'd her yet for a date? Sent cock pics?

Get to it lads for fk's sake.
Sometimes it takes a man at the top of his game to teach others how it's done CB.

Back in the day Emma would have had at least two dozen proposals of absolute filth. Now, the mods have done so much cleansing on the site even reasonably avid sleaze bags such as me no longer bother.

I feel like Nurse Ratchett in one flew over the cuckoos nest has visited PH with a dose of virtual bromide. We even have another thread of a bloke (can't call him a man) worried about a double date FFS!

Pistonheads really isn't the place it used to be I'm afraid.

Sums up why I rarely visit these days, the sport has gone 😉

Date was postponed sadly. But probably a good thing, I had my fitness test and personal safety refresher at work and was walking like I shat myself and was asleep by 7:30!

Hoping for next week smile
Well I was going to meet her tonight, she text me last night to say she'll be back around 7ish and she'll keep me updated on when she's back.

Not heard anything from her. Not wasting anymore time, on to the next one smile.

Anyone feel like they are just better off single? Recently come out of a very stressful 'relationship' with a girl who I really thought beforehand could have been something long term. In reality its best for both of us we went our own way, so not annoyed or pissed off, not angry, just a bit disappointed.

Ah well... there is always another one to shag.

got to say i think that could be the most frustrating thing about internet dating - timewasters!! Either mentalists or just inconsiderate. Why would they not just say "i've changed my mind" or better yet just never set the fking date up in the first place?

Yep - definitely. I'll keep dating because I enjoy it and I'm open to a relationship should exactly the right girl come along, but I've got no pressing desire for it & I'm perfectly happy (and regularly satisfied...) without any kind of commitment at all.

You're expecting the wrong things - their minds don't work on logic and "honour" and fairness like blokes' minds do. Probably they have thought you were OK, but not been too sure about you, when you proposed a date they decided to go along with it and give it a shot, but they weren't hugely excited about it so it was easily overridden by other plans without even a second thought. There's no malice there, just a different system. No use being angry about it, even though it is frustrating for us.

I went through a period with a lot of flakes. Set up your dates for a place really close to home so it's no skin off your back if she doesn't show. But better is to not give all the details when arranging the date - for example pick a day and a time and a general geographical area but don't name a specific pub or anything - then you know if you don't hear from her on the day that she's forgotten or dumped you without even needing to bother getting out of bed.

Better still though is to not even bother arranging anything unless you can feel she's positively definitely rather attracted to you. They're not particularly coy about it when they DO fancy you, you just have to be honest with yourself (which can be rough on the ego) - if you're not sure whether she does or not, then SHE DOESN'T. Sorry! Keep her on the backburner for a long term warm-up, or ditch her.

Law of the jungle!

We all shoot for people above our station, and read more enthusiasm into their words than they actually wrote.
Hard to admit to yourself but it's our own fault, so often you convince yourself you can see things that aren't there.

Internet dating is like being in a sweetshop, far too many distractions..

but, it's all about the chemistry... it's either there or it isn't.. you can't force it..
Some people just have the knack of oozing instant sexual chemistry, it's an art form in it's own right.

My problem was that I would never meet people unless we had huge chemistry over text chat first, which I'm led to believe isn't how one should approach internet dating.

Think of all the money I saved though laugh

Some of us have got it, some of us haven't.

It's just the way it is.

A quick visit to the clinic will help you get rid of it before you spread it around too much. Bag up next time.
