Anyone feel like they are just better off single? Recently come out of a very stressful 'relationship' with a girl who I really thought beforehand could have been something long term. In reality its best for both of us we went our own way, so not annoyed or pissed off, not angry, just a bit disappointed.

Ah well... there is always another one to shag.
I've felt like this for about 5 years. Quite content. I don't see it as an issue. Only social conformity that dictates people should want to be partnered.

Not just women that do this! Had a few time-waster blokes too! Absolutely baffling!
Yeah I was guilty of it, also fell foul of it too.

Just the way of the world, and always has been.
Just gets a bit tedious!! I genuinely didn't think that it would be that difficult! Very naive of me to think so!!

I've actually deleted my accounts on POF & Match and just going to give it a rest!!

When it comes to reading profiles about their interests and whatnot, I read it in the opposite sense to see if it makes sense. If it doesn't then they're boring...

e.g. (in an extreme example)

"I love motorsport and horses"
becomes :
"I dislike motorsport and horses"

both of which are reasonable positions to take, You may not agree, but it's still a reasonable position

However,

"I like going out, having fun and socialising"
becomes
" I don't like going out, don't like having fun and don't like socialising"
...doesn't sound like a reasonable position to take, so the origina version should really go without saying... in the abscence of anything else, a profile that reads as unreasonable in the negative would put me off
Anyone..? confused
I get it and I agree. I think he's basically saying in IT speak that if somebody has to list that they like going out and socialising then it shows that they really don't participate in very many interesting activities and therefore after a few dates will turn out to be a dullard who quickly becomes boring.

That's assuming of course that you have hobbies and are more difficult to please than by simply leaving the house.

Women who are properly in to cars are quite rare. But if her inbox is overflowing I don't think I'll put a message in her receptacle, probably not much tread left on the tyres by now.

Been chatting to a girl on tinder for a couple of days. 18, training to be a mechanic, likes Xbox and drinking, and is very attractive. Brilliant distraction from my recently failed relationship laugh

First tinder date lined up next week with a nice girl but I'm concerned by her pics that she might be a bit chunky, they're all taken from a jaunty angle. She does seem lovely though so that doesn't really matter!

Didn't know what all the fuss was about until I downloaded it and had a go, wonderfully simple and could be out every night of the week for something to do. Spot on.

This all over.... If there is no 'full body shot' then they're bigger than they want to admit!

So do all you Adonis types on here put a proper, posed photo of yourselves on Tinder or a selfie taken at a jaunty angle?

I have zero luck with Tinder. I'll match with someone and they won't reply to messages. It's been months since I had a reply on there tbhI, I don't know why they swipe right.

Yeah, it's got to be bare top half photo inc abs, wrist shot for watch check, full face shot to check chiselled features and a cock pic by the third message or us girls are out.

Match dead in your area? They don't seem to have had an advertising campaign in a long time now.

No new profiles in ages, so just the usual jaded, window shopping, unicorn hunters who are now in the final months of their 12 month deal around this way (from the last campaign match had) worse than pof at the moment! and that's saying something.

Tinders the same, has net dating gone the way of the dodo and Salsa?
