The temptation to bail and stick to what i know is surprisingly strong.
Know the feeling well but its a cowardly way out IMO. I found myself in a similar situation a few months ago and faced the same temptation. The well-trodden single life of lots of fun, lots of random nights and control over my welfare with protection from any potential hurt. Ultimately its a safe path but have to take a risk now and again if I were to ever want to settle down. Not sure I do want to settle down quite yet but hey, when these ones come along I'd be foolish to dispel the concept.Shnozz said:

Yeah it was just a drink with a couple of girls I'd been chatting to. Not sure if I'd have let it go anywhere anyway.
That said i thnk she's probably still dating others. At least I've seen her online on POF. I wouldn't have a problem if she was, we're not going out of course, but for once i actually have feelings for someone, and it actually scares me a bit not knowing if she sees me as just a fun date or a potential partner.

Maybe she was online POF to check if you were online and fishing! That said i thnk she's probably still dating others. At least I've seen her online on POF. i think most people, until they jointly decide to be in a relationship and 'exclusive', will probably either still be dating other people or on the lookout. It's a fact of life; to think otherwise is naive.
Certainly been the way I've always done it in the past. I don't think it's bad, a lot of people I've met online exited the picture rather suddenly, I was glad I at least had an account and was sort of talking to people.
