she walked out of the date because you farted? Well, probably best off without... can you hold all your farts in for the rest of your life? Probably not...

Not for the rest of your life but on a first date, in a restaurant, loud enough for those around to giggle and stinky too

It made me chuckle reading it but but hardly a great impression

If a girl did it on a first date, I'd probably be able to see the funny side of it, since it's quite a rare thing with most girls. If it was a guy I'd not be particularly impressed! Too many guys are slobs and do that kind of st all the time anyway, I'd think it gave off a bad impression.

What a thing to do though, well done for laughing it off laugh

Personally I'll not date women at work.
If it doesn't work out then I don't want to bump into them in the foyer, or God forbid have to work with them on a project.
I know a guy who was good at his job but dated a bit around our offices. He left for another company and privately said that he didn't really want to 'but the office has become an uncomfortable place - especially at the last conference seeing two exes talking together whilst looking over at me. In hindsight not my finest decisions..'

I like my work and it's important to me. So I'll draw that line. Plus there are more women to date outside work than in, so why bother.
A lot truth in this I have had more than my fair share of opportunities at work over the years but my old bosses words always kept in my head " never s**t on your own doorstep"

Sounds like he would be a touch clingy after the second!

Let's be honest, he sounds like an utter fruit loop, bordering on proper weirdo territory.

With tales like this, you can see why some women want to text for ages and are wary of meeting online dating blokes!

I met a girl from Tinder who texted me afterwards to insist she paid her half as she didn't think she'd like to see me again. I'd already written off the date and the money for the meal before I got home laugh

The last girl I was seeing buggered off, a few days after I'd spent £100 on dinner.

Got a date tonight, I think I'll head over to McDonald's laugh

A few of those about.

I met Miss "By the way, I don't pay for anything" once. This declared on the way from the car park (where we'd just met) walking towards the restaurant.

"Well I don't pay for everything so this isn't going to make it as far as the soup course!"

Turned around & left her standing on the pavement in a state of some confusion it seemed. laugh

To be fair, we'd been seeing each other a little while, and she paid for a lot of the things we did. I really liked her and felt I was punching above my weight, so I wasn't surprised when it did end. Sad though.

Tonight though, I invited a girl over, we went to the pub and I had a fair few beers. We came back to mine, got a pizza and watched some films and had a laugh. I stuck some of that chillstep trance music on, and got to business. Had a hell of a time! Afterwards, to my surprise, she got her stuff back on, gave me a kiss and has just left, said she'd call me laugh.

Late last year I took a girl I'd been with for a month out for dinner to celebrate her birthday. I paid for the night and got her gifts. The gifts came to a total of £40 and the meal/drinks £100 odd. We split up about a week later so what a waste of money that was

Still got my text buddy who I asked out a few weeks ago. If I don't meet her this weekend then I'm going to stop replying and move on.

Sort of. If it was the first date I'd agree, but it was a month in. You were being attentive and doing something nice together. These kind of things will keep a potential partner interested and possibly create something lasting. Being a stingy bugger and always expecting it to fail each time you get a new girl will get you nowhere, so don't beat yourself up. Besides, if you got any sort of bedroom action, then it can't have been a complete waste!

Just try to keep the costs down where you can, to avoid bankruptcy.
