It surprises me some people say they don't get many matches or whatever. My hit rate on Tinder is very good and had about 70 matches before I got bored of it, all decent looking girls too.
POF is where it's at for me though, there's plenty of weird girls on there but they're always the ones who message first. I've sent about 5 messages first and had an answer every time, and I get a few messages per day but most of them are boring and along the lines of "hey how r u" and "ur cute bbe" which is where I know to leave it.

It really shouldn't, take a look at the competition.

Terrible pictures, rubbish descriptions, no sense of humour. Same thing for girls on these things.

Work out, dress well, get some good pictures and you can go from a 5/10 to a 7/10 easy.

Still messing around on Tinder for a laugh but havent got back to any of the girls, spent most of my time and money playing the dating game last year. Got a smart and fun one I'm seeing at the moment - last year I was whoring it up and tried to keep three casual things on the go while seeing other girls.

It gets exausting and expensive.

In all honesty, that sounds frikkin' awful. And that's not some internet bravado claptrap. I guess you got something out of it but I can't think of a much more vacuous and impassive way of conducting a love life.

I think the response rate depends on the age range that you're looking at. I guess that most PHers are looking in the 20-35 age range so get a good response. I'm looking in the 35-50 range where possibly there are less women and therefore the guys get less replies.

Having a few friends with benefits is no bad thing, though I did get a little carried away hehe

Might as well have some fun with some nice girls while you're looking for the right one - as long as you're up front with your intentions.

Thought I'd met a really good one and dropped it all for her, unfortunately things went south before christmas and I'm still somewhat cut up about the whole thing.

Will certainly be changing tack in 2015. Don't think my liver or bank balance could take another year of that!

Au contraire... There are *huge* numbers of wimmins internet dating in Surrey in the 40+ age group.
Only problem is that they get even more 'unicorn huntery' and hard-bitten as the years pass. Well worth the petrol to avoid, IMHO

Each to their and all that, but that lifestyle doesn't appeal at all. Never has done, even when in my 20s. Your last comment sounds utterly emotionally hollow and is pretty much the exact opposite of my outlook on such things.

Thanks muchly to everyone for the advice. This is my revised profile:

Unfortunately, a few good recent pictures from my holiday (such as me in aviators astride an LAPD motorbike) arent on facebook yet as I havent got around to sorting them, which I now will do asap. I'm highly limited on which "good times with mates" pictures I can use, as nearly all of them are from when I had long hair.

Kowalski - it's not my sim, but I do work on it. It belongs to Speke Aerodrome Heritage, come and visit us if you're ever in Liverpool on a Saturday :0

It would be a very dull world if we were all the same, wouldn't it?

I think you may get found out on at least two fronts there, haven't you got any pictures of you being "normal" with other people? By the way a picture of you astride an LAPD motorbike isn't one of them sorted or not.

You need more social credibility. Only have one single photo (the one looking out of the tent will do), but have the rest of your photos surrounded by you and women. Honestly, if you appear to be accepted by girls, other girls will find it easier to approach you as you have been "validated" and not a nutty stalker. Plus it will come across as you being a social/party guy.

Also read "The Game" by Neil Straus, so much of pickup is needed in the online world.

that main pic (in the car) sums up why tinder is so good for men that get it......because most men dont!

women do NOT CARE about a racing car....there are really only two car types with women.....dont care about any, care if its expensive. Thats it. There is no..."oh, a single seater race car pic, he's hot" type.

Contary to whats said here - many women DO use Tinder for a relationship (i know, I had one!) but they still start with the same approach we (men) do......"would i sleep with him"

Your main pic needs to be you, looking as hot as possible.

My main pic was me jogging.....tight vest, tan, hot - I did fine and didnt waste a second on writing a bio. Not sure I ever read one either?
