They keep chucking work at me in dribs and drabs. Not enough to keep my brain engaged, but just enough that I can't sneak away for a bit.

My students are suspiciously quiet tonight. They must be up to something! *They worry me more when I don't see/hear them than when they're pissed and loud and generally being a pain in the butt..*

Eighty four this week, forty minutes to go, then four off. I have a weeks holiday booked from Friday, I pick up the shift pattern on the following Wednesday. Do I go for the full 16 days, or come in for three shifts this week?

Yup, and I'm covering someone else who needed the night off as well!
However I was half an hour late getting in due to traffic so I'm only 30 mins down.

Didn't know where to put this, here will do. This guy sounds a formidable character:

Article said:
Officers were called to a Noosa Heads home just 4:30am (AEST), where a man, reportedly armed with a gun, had made threats to other people in the house on Wyandra Street.

Police in armoured vests surrounded the property.

It was not clear how many people were inside the home at the time.

Police said a woman was injured at the house was in hospital with minor head injuries.

The man jumped into a Channel 7 news car and fled the scene, and paramedics said he later crashed into the United Petrol Station at Eumundi.

Bystander Joe had just filled up his car when he saw the news car crash into an LPG gas tank.

He said the man asked for a cigarette lighter after hitting the gas tank.

Joe said he ran into the store and told staff to lock the doors.

"A big crunch, gas everywhere - I just turned and bolted basically because I thought - I was in two minds - I thought someone's in there and another - I've got to get out of here," he said.

"He was coming over to come in, and from there when he came over and the doors were locked, he then proceeded to ram it with his head about three times and shattered it - didn't break it.

"Then just after that the police turned up - five or six - with guns pulled out and then apprehended the guy."

Evening...

Working from home tonight, which is lovely... Sat here on the bed in a Superman onesie watching the UFC from last night.

Nada going on work wise.

However it's bloody hard work. I just want to lay down and sleep! Mrs Johnny is laying next to me and keeps snuggling into me and grabbing my hand. Soo tempting to lay down, just for a bit!

Think I'll make tea & toast to see me through the next hour...
