Pretty good tonight!

One of the weekend staff who I never get to see but get along really well with was doing a shift this evening, he was here until about 0100. It was nice to have someone to talk to for a change (at least, someone actually physically here lol).

All on my own again now though!

"Only" 6 hours to go!

How about you?

Don't even go there, that was one phone call that really wound me up.

Basically because I haven't applied for any student loans or anything they can't do anything at all to help me. So in other words because I've tried to be sensible and not got myself into thousands of pounds of student debts the one time I need a little help they can't do anything. Makes sense... not!

That's ridiculous. How can they punish you for making a smart choice, its completely illogical.

What have you done about your predicament so far then?

My thoughts exactly, there logic is basically no debt = no assistance or thousands of £££ of debt = "lets help put you in even more debt"

Well I had some shell vouchers through this morning, so I've got about £15 towards fuel. And a friend has lent me £60 which will cover the deposit for the insurance on the Coupé, I just need to ask another friend if I can use his card to pay it if I give him the cash. Can't see any reason why he won't though, he's normally very good at helping me with things like that, he would have helped me out money wise but he's had a bit of a tough month financially himself so just doesn't have the cash to spare. But hopefully by this time tomorrow I should have a car on the road again.

Just need to find some cash to sort out a present/card for my mum's birthday & mothers day.

Ahh that's not too bad then, at least you're in a hell of a lot better position than last night!

You could always give your mum a 206 Diesel for her birthday! hehe

Aye, at least I might not be on shanks pony getting to work this weekend.

That wouldn't go down well at all. That's the one car im getting most grief about being sat there. It's refereed to as "the shed" when it's not a shed, just needs a few minor jobs and it's good to go.

All it needs is a set of tyres, running in for mot, 2 injectors and a bonnet. Hardly an extensive list. But she doesn't see it like that at all.

Are you going to sell it after you sort out those small niggles or sell it with them?

Not sure, I've tried selling it as it is a few times and had no interest. What I might do is get two injectors (Can get them off ebay for about £30-£40, I nearly had a full set of 4 for £20 until I got out bid at the very last minute.) Swap the wheels with the set off another pug and run it in for test. Then try and sell it, hopefully it should go with 12 months test on it. Could be a project for some 17 year old boy racer in the making. Bad boy bonnet a massive set of those genuine rip speed rimz init. Plus it's only £30 a year to tax.

Your telling me, it's the standard bulletproof 2 litre HDi 90bhp version that's found in 99% of other peugeots from around the same era. Just in the 206 they got clever enough to do a Eco version of it that used a longer final drive in the gearbox that meant when they did the emissions test the engine was actually running at a lower speed and thus producing less emissions which brought it low enough to be in the £30 a year tax bracket. Yet I had another one that was a different trim level of around the same year that was in the same tax bracket as my GTi of £225 a year.

As much as people slate the company, when it's not Friday afternoon in France or there isn't a strike, they do know what there doing. hehe

lol to be fair, I think all the major French manufacturers are great and make some truly awesome cars - but they end up producing an equal amount of st to balance it out!

Yep, when they put their minds to it they really can pull something out of the bag. Just look at the Group B 205 T16, the car that beat the Audi Quatro and the 208 T16 the record that set up Pikes Peak. Yet the same people developed things like the 1007. No logic to it at all.

I'd like to see them all bring out a hot super-mini... Actually one of PH's articles yesterday, about the 'pocket rocket' got it spot on. The French made some of the best! http://www.pistonheads.com/regulars/blog/what-happ...
