Does that mean the only part you have is the gear gator? Or is that the only part that needs replacing?

You might get a snappy response in that case....

I'll play. Nice and quiet at work for a change and I'm on top of stuff.

Evening. wavey

Any workers/insomniac Pug fetishists about tonight?

I'm having an awful nightshift because, i just bought a new car, it is sat outside in the car park and i can't drive it until i leave and by then there will be traffic so i won't actually get a chance to play with it until i get up tomorrow afternoon. frown

First world problems and all that. hehe

I'm here, just got come into the house from the garage, been busy disassembling this tonight...

The car's a 307 XSI, off to the scrap yard tommorow, timing belt snapped on the engine, and a mate of mine bought it for spares for his 307 HDi. I've had the engine and gearbox out of it as it's the same block that's in my 206 GTi. So it will be spending sometime on an engine stand and being rebuilt. Not to standard spec either....

Anyway after about 5 hours tonight we had this...

Honda S2000. 2001, little bit of cosmetic work needs doing, which is probably not going to happen soon and it is in mechanically brilliant shape.

Standard except for a Stage 2 clutch and yellowstuff pads, 9 months MOT, freshly serviced at a decent specialist, i will need to replace the rears pads this year and might change the front discs/pads whilst it's in but that is a problem for after i've done a few miles.

And the revs just keep on going up forever. I have only hit above 8500 once and that was on the test drive. Even as someone who loves to be at the top of the rev range it seems strange that you have a couple of thousand revs more when you get to where most cars cut out, that and rapidly running out of road. I knew they were quick as i've driven a few, not really cut out for the traffic light GP but the ingear times are surprising for something with "only" 230ish bhp.

I feel the novelty will not wear off for a while, and that is before i think about it being my first convertible, which is something i've wanted for ages.

Basically i'm a happy boy.

Did i mention VTEC YOOOOOOOO! biggrin

Sounds like you've got a good little car there. I've never been much of a Honda fan, but always had a soft spot for the s2000 & the integra type r. Never actually been in either though as passenger or driver.

I think I need to get changed, my clothes absolutely stink of gear oil & other various car fluids that when mixed together make a hideous smell.

I hope so, now looking at a Saxo VTR, Pug 106 Quicksilve/GTI or an older french oilburner for the next cummuter/shed.

Or i keep my Focus ST170, but that is a decision for April.
