The latest observation I have made is the increasing popularity of beards.

Not the well maintained beard mind, more a 'been held hostage for 5 years' type of beard.

Like that chap off fast n' loud

Anyone else notice this beardiness?

If your dad hasn't got a beard, you've got two mums.

Had a beard for a few months a few years ago, I liked the look of it however generally it got a bit irritating after a while and whilst I hate shaving and don't shave if I can get away with it, I found keeping the beard clean and tidy was even more of a hassle than having to shave, so off it came.

In London, 2012 was the Year of the Beards. Now, they're becoming rarer once more.

I too have heard that we have passed 'peak beard' but as a committed bearded man I care not, five and a half years since I was last clean shaven and long may it continue. Though it did get pretty close to coming to an end when I didn't check the length of my beard trimmer last week!

Peak beard is gone. Time to sell those air-cooled 911s!

I'm only jealous because I can't grow a decent 'tache, much less a good beard frown

Young faces with beards look odd. Old guys with beards look cool, though. Young blokes with beards look like they're wearing a stick-on. biggrin

My wife has never seen my chin, been together since '00.

Full beard for most of that time (usually fairly short)

Got in trouble the day before our wedding, I trimmed and shaved it to a goatee, turned out she had got personalized cake toppers, and I now didn't match!!!

Forgive me, but what is a cake topper please?

In my book that should be cream or more cake!

I had a bash and grew a nice beard - made me look ten years older due to the grey.

So I left it for a while for people to get used to - shaved it off and everyone thought I looked great smile

With my beard if I leave it grows out, then goes ginger boxedin so I have dark brown hair, with a ginger beard, really doesn't look good.

The OH hates when I have a beard as it "scratches her" and takes the piss calling me a "part time ginger" but when I shave it off she hates it makes me look 12. FML.

It always makes me wonder how some people can grow a beard and decent facial hair and there are just some who can't; I can grow a decent beard in a week as can my colleague, my older colleague can't grow facial hair for st and if he doesn't shave one day he comes in all moaning that he looks awful however apart from a bit of wispy hair on his upper lip that has to be pointed out, you wouldn't notice.

I also find it weird that there are people out there who have a beard but have areas that don't grow so it's all clumpy with bits missing and other parts that are wispy, why bother you just look like a try hard and a messy one at that.

Did anyone see Justin Bieber's attempt at a moustache, my cat could lick that off; what a tt!:
