I'm now picturing a st Viz cartoon; two fish in a stomach, one says to the other, 'What's a nice plaice like you doing in a girl like this?'.

hehe

Just had a fluffy bread and butter pudding with nice plump sultanas. Over it I poured a small can of Evap milk.

I don't normally do puds but that didn't touch the sides. bounce

Confused the hotel clerk today when I checked in - I'm staying at a motorway services hotel but I have no car with me.

Is this a euphemism? I had lunch with a work colleague in the pub. Not eaten since. Have wine. Remember.

TheChampers, fighting the corner for music 1978 - 1998; I've got thousands of 'em biggrin And a few more recent ones wink

My favourite "idiot" client 'phoned today and asked "How non-refundable is a non-refundable deposit?"

Me: "Non-refundable".

Client: "Ah, I thought you'd say that".

ION, the chappy at the clean end of the workshop agreed it was a little outrageous to be charging £22 to fit a numberplate bulb, especially on the back of what was already a rather large workshop bill. (It's 60 second job as the light units just unclip.)
Still, the car is clean and I've got shiny glop on the tyres. Although I'm not entirely sure what this might be.

Was I being unreasonably stingy here?

We fly to Venice next friday with one of the cheaper Airlines (not the one Aizle works for).
To book seats that guarantee you being able to sit next to the person you are travelling with it would cost an extra £60 (roughly an extra 20% of the cost) . Perhaps it is my Yorkshire coming out but that seems like a load of money for something that should be included. Unimpressed.
I took pot luck, we sit together on the way back, 6 rows apart on the way out. The OH isnt impressed either.

That's a result, surely? If she's miffed, you don't want to be sitting next to her for a few hours.

Morning. I feel surprisingly good considering.

Enjoy the day. It's nearly that time again. It's been all week coming.
