There was mention of Long Life milk on here a day or so ago. At the Travelodge on Tuesday evening, I was offered the opportunity of purchasing a Breakfast Box. If I parted with £4.95 the Breakfast Box would be waiting for me at Reception the following morning. At dawn I hurried down to check out, I grasped my Breakfast Box and sped eagerly to work to savour its delights.

It was fking awful. For five quid you get: a small bottle of "from condensed" orange juice, a Nutri-Grain bar, a mini muffin and a pot containing a tablespoon of cornflakes and a tablespoon of Long Life milk. Oh, yes, and a sachet of sugar.

It must cost Travelodge about sixpence.

I went into a decline for the whole morning.

The Days Inn I'm staying in offers a Continental Buffet Breakfast for £5.50, it consists of cereals, a croissant, toast and tea/coffee. Walked past the serving area this morning and I'm very glad I didn't bother.
