How did the 6 plus go?
I remember doing my 11 plus. I also had a dessert to celebrate the good news.

Sticky toffee pudding I think. I only warmed to cheesecake in my mid or late teens.

We're I to choose a celebratory dessert now it would probably be cheesecake or Tiramisu.

How was the cheesecake?

I like that too. And chocolate brownie, preferably with ice cream.

The cheesecake? It was probably the best I've ever had. From the new Euphorium bakeries that are popping up in Tesco now. Just sublime!

Coming back from Wales last evening along the M4 minding my own business in the slow lane at a steady 70 when the next two lanes slowed down and we all ran along together for a while. I glanced over and the Octavia parallel to me in lane 3 had a completely flat nearside front tyre. 70? Front wheel drive? Flat front tyre? Not noticed, mate? Okay. The traffic cleared a bit and they all accelerated away. I wondered how long it would be. A couple of minutes later, say two miles further on, he was on the hard shoulder looking aghast, staring at his tyre with his hands pressed to the sides of his head.

Also saw a 1970 Jensen Interceptor cruisin' along like it was their regular car. It looked really good; sitting nicely on the road, as my dad used to say.

Just watching the end of "Escape to the counjtry " and the "Mystery house" has what looks like a

996 GT3 thrown in to tempt the buyer in.

Could be a "normal" 996 with spoilers.

In the days of drawing boards they used to say you could a lot about a man by the way he sharpened a pencil. I propose that these days you can tell a lot about an engineering company by the way they look after their microwave.

This is the place I'm working in Wales.

High tech. Okay. Yah.
