Morning all.
Evo, you plum, this weekend is a four full day open weekend and the weather's supposed to be fantastic.
Not some time in the middle of October!
Well I couldn't get there this weekend could I! Evo, you plum, this weekend is a four full day open weekend and the weather's supposed to be fantastic.
Not some time in the middle of October!
My lad is on his Autumn holidays later in the month so thought it would be a good excuse to pop over.
Driving up to Wales on Monday (up to? across to?) I altered the lumber support in my seat. A spot of backache, alter the seat, what could go wrong? I'll tell you what could go wrong, I can't get back as it was, that's what could go wrong. Up, down, in, out. All positions are now uncomfortable.

A tax disc no longer has to be displayed.
I fear many people will be fined though because you keep hearing on the radio and TV that "you no longer need a tax disc..." as opposed to "you no longer need to DISPLAY a tax disc..."
And lets be honest, a large number of the general public are stupid.

Following a major rethink, The TT Cardiff Drinks Night will be held in Bristol on Thursday of next week. All welcome. Lamentably, the ceremony to mark the renaming of the event as The TT Bristol Drinks Night was sparsely attended.
And no, it has not been moved to Bristol just because I want to go through Brunel's tunnel under the Severn. Partly, yes, but the tunnel business should be seen as a bonus and not the deal breaker.
Geek Note: Apparently, it had nothing to do with Brunel. I have just checked. His plan was to link London and the Bristol Docks; which he did. The railway tunnel under the Severn was opened nearly thirty years after he died.

Herman!
I'm in Buckie this week. The town, not the tonic wine.
It's pretty grim, although I surveyed a distillery and an explosives factory yesterday which was kind of cool.
The explosives factory was down in an old quarry- like a James bond movie set.
The distillery had the mash tun doors opened and smelled like banana bread!
