Hmm ,interesting.

Today I had a delivery to an address so new Google Maps doesn't recognise it.

It obviously wouldn't be in any map books.

Luckily I had the mobile number of the customer.

FYI near the ex BMW Motorrad garage in Caterham-on-the-hill.

I was offered a chance to drive the forklift today... I declined,

Not that I didn't want to, but I felt negotiating the specialist engine workshop with £2k worth of engine on a pallet, was a little too risky for my first dalliance with that particular piece of machinery.

Maybe next time... preferably outside with a lot of open space yes

I would love to have a go driving a forklift, always have done since my parents took me to a "cash and carry" about forty years ago and there were blokes there spinning those things around with the "doorknob" on the steering wheel, with the back wheels steering; looked great fun biggrin

Never got to have a go, so far frown

Lazy Knob is the popular term - I have one on my steering wheel in my lorry. Very useful when reversing in tight spaces.

I have a forklift licence/papers from when I worked for a findus in the '70s albeit an electric one.

I too can drive a forklift.

Was told that there is no requirement to renew the licence at any time.
