I'm back from my travels to Southampton. Whilst on them, I saw a LaFerrari on the M40 - the mad green one owned by Jamiroquai front man Jay Kay no less. This one:



And then later on, on the A34 I saw Jason Plato in his Cayenne.

I did something similar when I was a nipper. Shooting a string of 60 pots, all whizzing off the pile in a laid out order, some twit got a couple crossed. 3 of the strops wrapped around my welly and started to pull me towards the shooting slot.

Lucky I as in borrowed wellies that were a few sizes too big. The welly got wrenched off and was never seen again. It took a while to unpeel the fingers off the rail.

Still, if there's no work, there's no work. The jacket sailed away last week and the topsides isn't far behind. They're not even bidding very much at present.

So, this time next week, in the Lounge Bar of the Newbury Labour Exchange, I shall be heard keenly persuing employment opportunities, "Is there any fear of work, mate?"

Do you hear any rumours about the Falklands oil? The last PR blitz said they want a semi-sub platform instead of an FPSO, so presumably there will be a tender going out for that in the next 12 months for them to meet the desired production date of early 2018.

I am fine. Busy working in furrin parts and travelling a lot at the moment all good
