Most restaurants don't have the 'name' in the kitchen all of the time - it's entrusted to the head chef instead. There are those who are usually found in the kitchen more often than not though.

I am already in Cornwall ( a slightly different bit it must be said)

The review is in on Fifteen and it is good.

The wife had smoked mackerel to start, I had mozzarella with mixed beets, both were lovely.
Mains, the OH had the salt crusted Hake with crushed potatoes, I had a gnocchi with veg and more mozzarella, the goglet had penne bolognese.
The hake was beautiful, the gnocchi amd sauce were really good but the star for me was my daughters bolognese, easily the best I have ever had.

The deserts, we both had the raspberry and almond cake with clotted cream, goglet had chocolate brownie.

Even the drinks were good, I had an alcohol free cocktail (driving frown), the OH had a prosecco then later I had a homemade lemonade and the OH had a ginger presse.
TT Gastronomy Correspondent Presumptive, welcome.

My Trivial news for today: The warranty has run out on the Ignis... not my car, not my problem hehe

ION: There were only three of us at work today... there were four but Nathan went to the Dentist at lunch time and never came back.

I must admit Gog, I'm not a fan of that Oliver chap at all but I've just looked at the menus and they look bloody good. Very reasonable on the pocket too.
Lunch for the 3 of us, including a couple of drinks each came in just under £100
Not cheap but it was worth it, very tasty. Three courses for £28 isnt too bad for a restaurant IMO

I am trying to have a go at the "£100k Fantasy Garage" that you often see in General Gassing.

I have my daily, my fun car, my classic car and my luxury long distance car sorted but still have £11k left. Question is, what do I spend it on?! Any suggestions?!

He's right, y'know. And four wheel drive cars are very limiting fun-wise as track day cars.

No RS2, then.

I'd have an E39 M5 that for under £11k can tick all of those boxes in one fell swoop.

That or you need a winter 4x4. So make it a 4.4l Rangie.

Quick! To the "Chunj - Is this your Ignis?" thread.

Chunky and I have built a fast breeder cringe machine. It's reaching critical mass.
