I'm in a bit of a bind. I'm an alcoholic. My parents had had enough and on sunday they kicked me out, I had it coming, abusing their trust. I want to quit drinking, for real this time. I have meant it before but failed. help

Tonight's date is a redhead school teacher.

I do hope she doesn't try to steal my soul.
Well, since The Whiff was at home with me I assume that she bailed? You have my condolences. She can be so cruel.
As it goes... great night wink

Say hello for me.

The Triv-O-Meter doesn't seem to be working.

Dammit, just beaten to it my our leader. Morning, I can explain the triv-o-meter - it fell off the bar last night. I've got the specialist in to fix it this afternoon.

Definitely visit the GP then - quickly aswell. And if you've a problem with drinking then be sure to get help elsewhere - Al-anon Alcoholics Anonymous or similar.

That's good. Something serious with the Triv-O-Meter causes a paradox in the space-time continuum.

And we don't want that now, do we?

I phoned 111 and an out-of-hours gp called me back. He said I should go to A&E. fk that. I'm kind of hoping it was my hernia playing up and nothing more serious.

About the drinking I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. I have had months before when I haven't touched a drop, but then I have the opportunity to drink and I lapse back into it.

I think I am just to weak-willed to stay away.

I hope this post hasn't broken the trivial-o-meter.

06:30 start was requested. Perhaps that could have been later as I'm at my collection point and there's nobody here yet. The truck I'm using is usually driven by a smoker too by the smell of the cab - not overpowering though fortunately.

All these first world problems I'm having, it's not good I tell you.

Good morning.
It's far too cold for August.
Somebody, do something!

Morning all. Talk of snakes has reminded me of a friend way way back when I was young and Wham's Wham rap was be bestest song in the hit parade. A friend of mine disliked his bezzie mates girlfriend with the deepest intensity bordering on hatred. Conversations with him included gems such as,

'It's not that she's a slag and sleeps around that's the problem,'

'It's not even the fact that she's an utter two faced bh to her supposedly best friends that I care about either. It's the way when she meets me she kisses my cheek and leaves a wet mark. It's like she's doing it to piss me off as she knows I hate it. To be honest i'd rather cuddle a puff adder.'

My friend Nige had a way with words.

Due to my great age I am trying to pass off my current unemployment predicament as "semi-retirement." Therefore, at the conclusion of a leisurely breakfast, I dabbed delicately with a paper napkin. In so doing, a little tepid porridge found its way up my nose.

There is more to gentility than meets the eye. Clearly.

You know DickyC, with vignettes such as this, I am beginning to think that the towers should have an extension added for sitcom extras. I can see you being quite at home with the likes of Terry Scott, June Whitfield, Terry Thomas, Sid James, Roy Kinnear(et all; all those of a certain age and suchlike) that meander through such episodes)

They're all there if you care to look around the bar. Look! There's Eric Sykes and Deryck Guyler gazing from the picture window, contemplating the state of the putting green.

And here's Battert with the coffee trolley.

Sorry, pad, your application for leave yesterday has only just surfaced on my desk.

How did it go?

So seeking for further amusement
They paid and went into the zoo
Where they'd lions and tigers and camels
Old ale and sandwiches, too

That sort of thing?

I need a PA.
